Title: Is there a way to return to version 1.2 if I bought the game on Epic Games Store
Post by: difattaja on August 10, 2021, 02:13:48 PM
Basically the title, I have a save I really would like to keep playing what has about 10-11 mods installed that are 1.2 compatible, but the game auto-updated to 1.3 and now the save won't work. Is there any way to get back to version 1.2 to keep playing that save? If not, will I be able to turn off the mods and keep playing (I'm thinking that would mess stuff up). Is there any way to update the mods to 1.3 version or transfer a copy of the save to a 1.3 compatible modded version? Thanks a lot to whoever can help

Hi!

Exactly the same problem. I can't downgrade my Rimworld via GoG.

I am total unfamilar with the Epic launcher. Not sure if they got a beta/unstable version or use older versions. You should investigate that at the epic forums, they should give you better answers.

Noone prevent you to look at the steam workshop to check if your mods are upated.
I suggest you check out the 1.link from my signature.
But the chances that your 1.2 modded savegame work with 1.3 and same mods are unkown, but worth a try.

The Epic games support says this type of problem is outside of their grasp, and to contact Ludeon studios support. Also, when my game was updated, a notification popped up saying you can install a different intances of the game with diff versions and mods.
Some mods never get updated, but even if they did, many of us would want to continue a save from a previous version.
