I had a wave like that hit, I swear there were at least 100 squirrels. I was like no problem, the turrets will handle it, go about your business colonists (I use the turret and cannon pack and this was late game). Oh no, Colonist needs rescue, and another one... WTH? there was a single stack of metal across the map from the last Siege that they decided to yolo and try to get with hundreds of mad squirrels chasing them.  Half of my colonists were already in medbeds from the siege, so the 3 or so I had left I had to make sure stayed put until the turrets handled the squirrels. Luckily, everyone made it out alive but one was no longer able to work. Off to the sleep pod with you!

I have a blind colonist who's Right eye was shot out in a gunfight, and his Left was crushed during a scuffle with an escaping prisoner. Despite that he's one of, if not my most valuable character's as he quickly became an expert Warden and Doctor. (Not being suited for most other jobs) He even helps out in combat with an LMG-15 lol! (I like to imagine the other guys tap him on the shoulder and point him in the right direction) He's not very accurate but when the Raiders are pouring in through a choke point 50 deep....he doesn't really need to be.

On a similar note:

I had one colonist shoot at a squirrel with an Enfield.
The colonist missed, and hit the other colonist behind the squirrel in the jaw.

I'm guessing these little beasties jump up in the air.

Lol, they climb on you. Takes a about a full second for a squirrel to climb up a 30 feet tree, much less to get to your face.

If I would have a nickel every time my colonists have been mauled by rats and squirrels, I would be wealthier than these old space pirates.
