Some newer messages have focus jumps to the sources of an action instead of to the target of the actions. What I mean by that is: if you click on the message (or for the letters on the "jump to location"), you will be send to the source of the action and not the target.
This includes:
- releasing an animal jumps to the releaser and not the animal
- converting someone jumps to the converter and not the person being converted
"Alpaca 22 has been released to the wild." -> jumps to Smarty which isn't even named in that message: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1831277457860956584/3F01435A8FFA5EDD90388CD7BAA6C19942988520/
"Furr converted Cosme (prisoner)" -> jumps to Furr: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1831277457860976270/3749689F0A0952AF3999F6AF0209F3499900E3A4/
Usually the person doing this is of no interest to the player and older messages just jumped to the target instead of the source. This is especially annoying for prisoners which you want to recruit after the conversion and in general just confusing, since the whole point of using the jump is to check out what happened or following up with an action. Seeing how this is not consistent with other messages, this seems not intended.
Both DLCs, no mods used.
Thanks for the report. This sounds like there are going to be more than these two examples. I'm going to put this in my doc as things to watch out for while testing so I can compile a more comprehensive list.
