Title: [1.3.3287] Linux Mouse issue
Post by: MiiMe19 on March 05, 2022, 12:39:46 AM
This is a bug that has existed for a while now.
When being used on Linux, the mouse appears very "blocky", and not properly responding if moved slowly. There have been a number of people who have reported this.
To reproduce:
Use a Linux computer in any game, and try to pan the map with the mouse slowly. Notice how the movement is very jagged.

This bug has been continuing on for a while, and I would really appreciate it if it could be addressed, as it makes the game very hard and unfun to play.
I have both DLCs and have all of my mods disabled.

There have been several reports about this and they got merged into this one:

The reports have been merged in a locked topic that says "the bug has been fixed" which is not true.
It's been a year, the devs have been ignoring the issue for most of the time, and when they say that it's fixed they don't even bother checking if it's actually the case, even though people keep on wondering how it is possible, and linux players end up having to use wine, just like with any other game with no linux compatibility.

There has been "some fix" for linux mouse issues, but the slider problem still exists. My advice in the meantime would indeed be to use proton/wine. The game works better like that than the native linux version in some ways.
