Resource Duplication is a mod that adds a machine called the Duplexer, which takes in a certain amount of resources and outputs twice the amount!

substantial power consumption for one. Each one takes 900w and I also plan to balance it further by requiring research for some of the resources.

Finally a duplicator now I can dupe my silver for my shields :P also does this dupe AI cores?

900W is NOT substantial. That is barely a solar panel's worth if you turn it off at night.

Honestly I like the mod, it plays rather nice, at least on paper I haven't tried it yet.

900 power may not be a HUGE amount like the 100,000 from that other mod, but 900 power turning into 1 of another item wouldn't be OP.

Unless it makes 75 of them, then I would like to see a version need 2500-5000 power.

The time it takes to Duplicate is also important to consider.

I feel the work times should be tied to how 'important' or hard to come by the duplicated object is
like Medkits / meals / AI cores should take ages
for just base items like potatoes they're easier to grow yourself
even metal is really fast to mine

I really like the idea of this for stuffs like Agaves on the forest region
where it doesn't grow by itself, so if you happen to get that supply drop of them
this mod would be just mwah

and the 900 power usage is okay if the crafting times get really high
cause if you want to mass produce something the 900 requirement stacking up for each bench starts to feel at that point

but in short, yeah long crafting times would balance this just fine in my opinion

I was feeling this was way too op after spending a base with it, so I changed the power requirement to 40,000 watts   ::). Feels much more of a challenge to spend a few days charging the batteries to get a few stacks of free metal.

Note that the research says highly efficient. I'm basically using that as an excuse to have the power consumption fairly low

I've modded the mod a little bit and I'm able to dupe stone blocks now! :D Now I just need to try to be able to dupe strawberries, agaves, missles, shells and uranium.

Yeah... I've already done that for the 1.3 update. Coming out Sunday btw!   ;)

then make a new pawn that will go around melee stuff till killed

I'm not gonna download the 1.2 v of this mod cuz I like the 1.1 a blue glow I dont really need :P but I could try to just paste it in and hopefully it will work.

That's fine mate. Do check in tomorrow for 1.3 though! (May need a new world for it otherwise it gets a bit buggy, dll content you see!)

Got it working :D litteraly was just copying the glow lines into the file and tadaa! done :D also if you need to get any resource working in your mod you can ask me. Atm I added in the stone bricks, uranium and medicine. Just need to work on the shells, missles and modded stuff.

When I realise what the hell Tynan did to the code, frankly. The duplexer doesn't seem to be coming up in the production tab!
