It's that time again! I'm looking for testers to help test RimWorld before public release.
Note that this doesn't just mean playing the game and saying if something goes wrong. It means finding bugs, working on them to understand and reproduce them, and then writing quality reports that explain exactly how to make the bug occur. Reproducing bugs can take significant amounts of time and effort, so be sure you're up for that before you sign up.
Please make sure your forum email matches your order email (obviously you'll need to have bought the game).
If you're into it, awesome! Please post in this thread. Thanks.
I love this game, but have no previous experience testing. I am pretty detailed oriented and love finding patterns. I can test it any day after work that my wife lets me. ;) If that is enough for you, I would love to.
I own the game since Alpha 2 or 3 and am much interested in it since I layed hands on it. Registered on the forums only a few days ago. However i don't have any experience actively testing out game builds. But I have a lot of free time these days, and would love to contribute to the bugs hunt.
I volunteer as a tester!
I have plenty of time on my hands, so I should be able to put a couple hours daily into the new version. I haven't tried the developer tool yet, but this should be a great excuse for it seeing as a few bugs are bound to show up.
I have some knowledge in coding due to my high-school course, that would probably help a lot in figuring out what part of the game is causing the bugs to happen. Aside from that I don't know what else to say, since I have never purposefully played a game for the sole purpose of finding bugs. I'm eager to try though. :3
I'd be more than willing to try and help out!
I have played this game every week since right before alpha 1 came out and i'd love the chance to help make it better!
While I am fairly new to Rimworld I do have experience testing games ranging from AAA games, indie, to mods/total conversions. I have a knack for reverse engineering/testing/mix-maxing and enjoy employing the scientific method wherever I can... Plus I have far too much time on my hands binging on Rimworld for the last few weeks. Figure I may as well do something remotely productive while playing; I volunteer.
I'd be very glad to test alpha 7. I've had the game since alpha 5, and have some previous testing experience. I have tons of time and can probably find multiple bugs each day. So i volunteer as tribute :)
reporting for duty my tallest!
gir! fetch me one of them humans call a debugger kit..
yes, that one full of slime and juuice!! i am ready now!
pick me!!! pick meeEEEeee!!
Tynan, How do we get the download??
Yes, ok.
For people new, just check the public tester forum. The first thread has all the info you need.
Thank you!
I'd love to help myself, early look + help catch the bugs, it's win-win.
I would love to help testing.
I'd love the chance to help, I've been playing games for a fair few years, and am more than a little interested in the mechanics.
I absolutely volunteer!
Being in Computer Games Development in uni, I'm up for it...
I would like to help with testing, if you still need people.
I'd like to participate in testing :D
Maybe I'm missing something, but can someone tell me how to access the public test forum? I can't find it :(
I will help if you still need it. If not maybe next time.
That is only accessable when you're set as a Public Tester. Only then do you have access to it.
I'd absolutely love to be a tester.
I've got a degree in games programming so I might be able to help out.
I would agree to a participation in the test if you're willing.
I'd love to be a tester. I'm on leave so I have a lot of time on my hands.
I like breaking things. Count me in if you still need people.
I would love to help! Hope I'm not too late. :P
I would be interested in helping test too - CS college student so plenty of extra time :)
Hello, woud love to join the alpha 7 testing.
Alot of people for the first time posting on the forum :/ Anyways i would like to join as well.
You can count on me for a tester. I always mess around with the game. And I almost always break it or I find a bug.
Since i really like the game and have time on my hand, i would like to help improving it.
I would be happy to help you out finding and reproducing bugs
So... The wife is gone for about two weeks starting two days ago. I think I have some extra time if you still require testers. I write reports for a living.
If not, you still succeeded into making me into more of a forum lurker.
Ok! I've added everyone who I could verify actually bought the game. Please head on over to the public tester forum.
If it's not too late - I'd definitely be interested in testing Alpha 7.
As always, I'm up for doing some testing and bug reporting.
Hi, also interested in testing. My wife loves the game and is great at QA. :) We purchased and should be verifiable at the same email my account's registered to. Thanks!
Posted earlier but apparently my forum email wasn't the same I registered the game with... if there are still some open testing positions I'd love to help out.
I would also be interested in assisting with Alpha testing if there is still space.
I'm interested if this is still available. Thanks.
I would love to test alpha7
/me raises hand.
I have done tons of beta / pre-release testing before.
[email protected] is the registered email
Awesome! : O Would love to give it a look
I would like a try (adding to the million messages of people saying yes I want to do this...)
Hey there, new poster, new RimWorlder here. I'm a software engineer by trade and happy to lend some time testing and giving through bug reports. I hate seeing those "____ doesn't work" errors come in without any steps to reproduce the bug. Add me to the list and I'll do what I can to break it!
-D
If you're still looking for a tester, I would be happy to help out.
I definitely own the game, and love it. :)
Hello! I'd like to apply for testing as I'm playing regularly and have a few things I want straightened out. I was among the developers upon launch. I might have a bug-reporter account still. Beam me up Tynan

Application window is closed?
I will gladly try to test the game a lot and find if there is any problem my email is: -snip-

All right, thank you for applying all!
Everyone whose email address was actually listed as having bought the game has been added as a tester. Please go over to the public tester forum, read the entire "read me first" thread (lots of people skip this and it gets embarassing), and grab the game.
Thank you for the help all!
