I might do something like this weekly, maybe with themes, but for now I just thought I'd make a new topic due to a request on the old topic after I gave the link to the mod's DL.

This mod will be passed around by me. I will start the mod with a simple (most likely) badly textured weapon. From there on, you people can add onto the mod by requesting to join the pass-around queue. If you join the queue, you will have to follow a set of rules that will be planted down below. Please don't pass the mod to another modder, or to anyone via PM, or give away the DL link. Your post will be flagged if you give away the DL link publicly.

-Keep the files of the mod secret. We do not want anyone except for the next modder after you knowing what has been done.

-When finished with the mod, upload to a free file sharing website. Using websites such as bit.ly to get some change will not be appreciated.

-Do not edit other people's parts of the mods. They've worked hard on them.

-You are allowed to use the parts that other people have added. This being said, you may add something like, an iron sword, if someone added iron, or something like refined iron.

-Try not to spend too much time on your part. There isn't a special time limit (as of now there isn't) but we don't want the queue to be too long.

-Please notify me via PM or posting on this post to tell us if you are postponing your queue position. You will be able to mod as soon as you return from your postponing.

-DO NOT RETURN THE MOD WITH ERRORS.

that happens if the link is the first thing of your message. Some kind of spam protection I guess. Put the link on the end of the message (add some generic text if needed) and it will work.

Just to be clear the talk of rum, pirates, snowmen and launchers (wat) are totally off topic and not built into this mod. Just incase that was confusing people.

Sorry I haven't been active in the past few days. I'm part of multiple other forum communities, so I had difficulty allocating my time, plus I just bought and downloaded Medieval II: Total War.

Anyways, I'll continue to pass on and add people to the list. :p

wait, so when the mod actualy get "released"? is it available only to the people who are in queue?

It will be released when development is over - ie when it reached the end of the queue. Its not even available for the people making it. The only 2 people who have the latest version are Apletje and the person currently working on it.

Oooooohh ohhh!! I have an idea what to put in this mod, but it will probably be full of bugs... literally...  pick meeeeeeeee

If you need me to work on graphics WHILE someone is working on coding, then let me know what you need.  It would certainly speed up the process a bit.

I'm going to try a new approach on this, instead of the old one, because I'm too busy to pass this mod around daily and nightly.

I will put this on GitHub. Anyone who says they'd like to work on the mod, you will be given a link to the github repo and you'll be able to edit textures, about.xml, and add your own code as frequently as you want.

I will PM everyone that is on the queue, and that has been on the queue before, along with those who wanted to be added onto the queue. The project will end in approximately 2 weeks, and from there we'll start a new repo.

UPDATE ON THINGS: I'll PM the link out to everyone in a few minutes. The project's due date will be extended to Nov. 17, and then we'll release it to the public.

Terribly sorry for all inactivity. Unfortunately, a similar case of my hard-drive overflowing with megadeath, I lost all of the files on my old HD. If anyone wants to create a github repo and post it on the forum topic, feel free!

I still have the version I sent back. Does anyone have the latest version, who was last to have it?

Ill upload my version tonight when im home. I also wouldnt get too excited. The mods pretty rough and i treated it as a bit of fun. :)
