As i have heard (and noticed), trash, debris and corpses does not leave your Rimworld map (except the corpses may burn away).
In theory, unless any other solutions is available, your map would end up beiing one big trash- site.
I have looked around here on the forum for suggestions, but most of them is only about compressing, shrinking and recycling the debris. This would certainly give you more time (, recycling could probably even eliminate the threat), but it could still end up bad :(.
It was when playing the game, while trading with a passing ship, that i got the idea: why not implement a starship that works like a garbage truck? You could pay an amount of money to make the ship take your waste. This would then remove the threat of getting your map overfilled with corpses and debris.
Also, as a secondary idea (probably not the best one), the same ships (or another one) could take your colonist- corpses/ graves with them, and bury them by their former homes/ homeplanets. You can of course choose what corpses you want to send away, and maybe the persons buryed themselves could have wishes wether they wanted to be buryed at their homes, at the colony or somewhere else. You would also have to pay for this service too.
Of course, the humans with the trait "No identity" can not be brought to their home, because noone know where it is.
Just some ideas of mine. Please comment for support or suggestions or anything else.

I'd rather just toss the bodies into a furnace than pay a single credit to have them transported offworld. The only way I'd do anything but tell those guys to go get dunked would be if they were paying me for the bodies.
And even then, I'd rather not sell the bodies of my own fallen, just the platoons of raiders who throw themselves futilely at my guns.
I'd often thought of a kinda of Scavenger/Scrapping skill, where a colonist could interact with a piece of trash (Slag debris/rubble) for example, and have a chance of finding some metal, or rarely even an item like a med kit or rifle. Something of that nature.
Higher the skill level increases the chance of finding something rather than nothing at all.
Would need fleshing out I suppose, but it's one possibility to making trash into another man's treasure :)
I agree-- assigning a % chance for metal recovery when a building like an incinerator or furnace is worked by a colonist would be pretty great.
Some more convenient method of corpse disposal is definitely called for.
