Title: Are uploaded statistics actually usefull?
Post by: Dr. Z on January 04, 2015, 05:18:59 AM
A few Alphas ago you added the function to upload some key statistics of the game. I'm curious if/how these statistcs are used/usefull.

I'd guess it's very easy to see how devastating certain events are

you know
Heatstroke -> 6 colonists died shortly after

Psychic wave -> 12 cases of colonists going insane

I'd imagine if like 20 000 people have similiar stats all over the events would be too opstronk

or maybe it's just clever undercover backdoor route for ty to remotely execute "storyteller" bull on you

Oh yeah! that 2 year solar flare followed by famine and eternal winter and non stop continuous animal zerg rushes and colony wide chronic sniffles was totally a series of very unfortunate events and pure coincidence

Does it monitor CPU/RAM usage? Does it report the hardware specs?  Personally I'm fine with whatever, but I'm also curious.

Actually I turned off this system, it wasn't worth it in the end. So the stats are purely there for your perusal.
