Title: Armour and improved defenses!

Ok, so the main problem that I have with combat in this game is that whenever there is an attack and if you don't have any turrets (which are supposedly being removed ;_;) then you are left with a few foot soldiers and each attack almost promises a loss on your side, with only 5 or 6 members this can add up quickly.

So an idea that I had was to be able to have an armory where you could research body armor, guard towers or even defensive plating. I love this game but combat is impossible without turrets.

Although it would be nice to be able to research those things, that would make it impossible for you to lose an colonist. Having one of your colonists die is part of the game and makes it more suspenseful during a fight. Part of the fun of raids are finding new ways to kill them with the least amount of loss on your side. I like to play with not ever building any turrets and only relying on manpower to stop the raiders ant it can lead to some fun games. And if you are able to have the ability to make body armor, the raiders would have to be able to have some too, to keep a balance.

Yeah, it was just a thought because ive had game where ive got a great setup and then a wave comes in, makes people upset and then everything just falls apart, before i know it production stops and everyone dies
