Stories / Iguana gets drunk of my last beer
July 04, 2015, 04:19:29 AM
So I just constructed a Communication Console. About 10 minutes in, a Pirate Trader came into the vicinity. He didn't have much, so I just decided to buy the traders last beer, since half of my colonist are stressed. At least one of them will get a warm tasty beer, right? NOPE, as soon as that beer comes flying down from the heavens, an alcoholic iguana comes in a drinks it in 10 seconds.

Support / How to change resolution?
March 31, 2015, 08:16:02 PM
Hello, recently I bought a netbook with a 10.1" screen and a 1024 x 600 resolution. Rimworld starts up, but some of the buttons are missing because the only resolution I can pick from is 1024 x 768 (I think). Is there some way I can change the settings to match my screen resolution?

I'm heading out on a trip tomorrow thats going to take around 5-6 hours. It would be great if I could play some rimworld before my laptop battery dies!

I fixed it. Turns out it was just my Video Drivers not being updated.

Thank you. I sent it.

EDIT: THIS IS A RIMWORLD FORUM, NOT UNTURNED. DO NOT LOOK HERE FOR UNTURNED INFO.

I am getting this error constantly...

---------------------------
Oops!
---------------------------
The game crashed.
The crash report folder named "2014-12-23_103002" next to game executable.
It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!

I have bought Rimworld awhile back, and I usually play on my PC. I decided to download it on my Windows 8 HP Laptop. But whenever I try to start it up, I just get this error. I don't know what it means but if someone could help me that would be great.

Bugs / Version 0.7.584 - My Colonist keep vanishing?!
December 02, 2014, 10:26:46 PM
Version 0.7.584

Every now and then a enemy raid, siege, or drop pod attack will come my way. Nothing new really. So I'm fighting off these raiders, and I finally took out about half of them, when a notification comes up on my screen that says "Raiders decided to capture who they can & leave". Well, I won't let them. So, one of the raiders grabs my colonist. *pew pew pew* and the raider goes down. But, my colonist can't be found. I can still find them on my overview screen. It still says they are in the exact spot where they where dropped, but they are no where to be found.

This has happened to me about twice so far. I would also like to point out that the "Colonist needs rescue" notification does not pop up either. It seems to happen often when they are dropped near sandbags.

Has anyone else gotten this glitch/bug? If so, do you know how to solve this problem?

Bugs / Re: Colonist keep starving?? Help!!
November 30, 2014, 08:26:32 PM
Thats not the case. I'm mean they will eat, but only when ever single injured person is healed, and feed. Then they will go eat. So when there is around 6-7 wounded people, they wont stop feeding & healing them, until they eventually start to starve.

Ideas / Re: plagues, hygiene, contagion, and quarantine

Agreed, when 4-5 of my colonist get the plague or malaria all at the same time, as I'm being attacked, is the worst.

Or making some type of water pipe system where you could make water pipes coming from a water source into some sort of well or something into your base would be awesome. Adding a water purification thing that attaches to the pipes would be cool too. But then again, early in the game it would be hard to get all that metal before your colonist died from dehydration. Maybe making some way to boil water with the fire pit could work.  :P

Bugs / Colonist keep starving?? Help!!
November 30, 2014, 03:28:02 PM
So sometimes, more than half of my colonist will get injured. I'll have about 2-3 Colonist who can actually be doctors. but for some reason, when they are treating other colonist, they decide to keep healing, and feeding the injured, until they starve to death. Its incredible annoying & I have to keep un-checking them as doctors in order for them to actually eat something. Is this some type of glitch, or what? Can some one please tell me whats going on.

Yeah, that could be a problem. But if they somehow managed to automatically find cover, then that might fix it?  :o

Probably something pre-made to start off. Then add pre-made buildings that get changed around to make a base.

Great idea. Its always bugged me that the colonist never use the bathroom, or take a shower.

Also, the idea of putting colonist into quarantine is also a great idea. Not cleaning up dead body's, eating old food, or not having good hygiene could lead you to getting sick.

Being able to build some sort of quarantine zone would be nice too.

Ideas / Assaulting Enemy Colonys
November 28, 2014, 06:37:30 PM
I think it would be great to be able to assault an enemy colony. A few benefits from doing this could be them attacking you less, capturing prisoners, rescuing a kidnapped colonist, steal supply's, or another faction could hire you to attack an enemy faction & you get paid depending on the objective they have given you. It would be nice to lessen up their numbers for when your far into the game, and 100 enemy's come charging into your base.

You would also be able to choose who attacks them and who does not. Meaning you could leave some colonist back, that would only get in the way. It would also be great to be able to decide your plan of attack. Like attacking with drop pods right on top of their base, planning a siege (Bringing your own resources to build what you need), or just attacking from any direction.

I just thought this would be a great idea, what do you guys think?  :D
