We all know the real reason you make plasteel hospital beds, 420 hitpoints.

2 bugs.
First, the centipede is unable to use his inferno cannon (he tries to do an aimed shot but then he gets prompted to reload and uses an ammo).
Second, my colonist is unable to damage the thing aside from certain censors as you can see in the picture. My colonist uses AP ammo assault rifle.
Used the latest pre-release build 1.6.2

General Discussion / Balancing talk: Floors
July 26, 2015, 02:38:03 PM
So floors are a mess in terms of balance. Some options are easily better then others in terms of stats.
Let's go over all of the options shall we?

First let's start with smoothed stone. With a cost of some work and nothing more you get a solid 3 beauty tile which is the highest beauty tile in the game. That's right the best tile costs 0 resources while the rest of the tiles all cost something. The only drawback is the fact that you can only get smoothed stone where there was once stone. But that still means that nothing beats it inside a mountain.

Next is the wood floor. Costing 1 wood per tile and giving 2 beauty this thing is cheap to say the least. And even though it is wood, it cannot catch fire at all! This makes it perfect for an area where you want your colonists to move often and it will make the area clear of any potential fire hazard. Solid indeed.

Now here come the bad tiles. the metal, paved and concrete tiles costing 3,2 and 1 steel respectively. First of there is no difference between paved and metal tiles in terms of stats so paved tops metal anyday at 1 beauty. Concrete tiles have 0 beauty but costs just 1 steel. Why you would want any of these tiles is beyond me since steel is a lot more valuable then wood AND wood floors have better stats. Don't even bother with these.

Next are the stone tiles costing more then their wall counterparts at 6 stone blocks each (walls cost 5 blocks) having the same functionality as wood tiles while being 6 times as expensive? No deal. Marble tiles don't even get more beauty making this another useless option.

And lastly the colored carpets. They cost 5 cloth each and give 2 beauty. So in order to fill a 5*10 room you would need to harvest 50 cotton plants, or you could just cut 1 oak tree in the area for the same result. And I am not even mentioning that you need to research them first. Does it look nice? Sure. Useful? Absolutely not.

-What the circumstances were. http://i.imgur.com/OUMRK69.jpg
-What happened. I tried to capture an enemy but was unable to because it could not find a path to the prison bed
-What you expected to happen. I expected it to find a path through the dining chair
-How we can reproduce the bug. This part is important!
Try to capture the enemy while having a dining chair block the way and no other clear path. Later I tried making another door to the side and it fixed the issue. (I used the mods edb interface, Mad Skills (tiered) and less incident trolling in that order but they should not have any effect on the outcome)

If a pawn performs a self feeding action then he doesn't check for traps meaning they can hurt themselves.

Yes, click on the bed material choice, then click on the I on the left side of the screen to see detailed info. This includes things like health, flammability and beauty

General Discussion / Re: Brain Damage

Atleast allow us to craft a wheelchair, having people walk at a snail's pace because his brain is damaged is just annoying. People in a wheelchair always have 50% movement speed and half of their current manipulation. That should balance things out
