Hi, jsut a quick question... and I didn't put this in bugs because I'm not sure if it is one.

I was looking at the screen of an orbital trader, and I saw I could sell an item to them. Would have been a decent mount of money but it was only of normal quality, and I was sure my colonists could make a higher quality item, so I had them deconstruct it then used the materials ot make another one. It came out as masterwork quality because I had a colonist who was inspired to creativity make it.

But now it won't show up in the trading screen? Even though it's in the exact same place in the same stockroom as the one I deconstricted.
Why isn't it showing up?

Also, the gold and jade statues in the screenshot here were also made by my colonists.

yeah thanks, was just coming to update that i eventually found the research in the research tree. for some reason I couldn't see them in my crafting menu even with god mode on, but once the research was done they showed up.

I'm on game version 1.0, but how can I download the file for that version? The first post says it's available for 1.0 and 1.1 but I can only find the file for 1.1
As such it doesn't show up in my game. D:

Oh thank you thank you! No I had not figured it out yet. Yes I had searched using the search tool on notepad++ on all the documents in the mod's folder haha
But I was using the wrong terms. Now that I know what it's actually called, I should be able to find it easily. Thanks!

Hello. I'm getting pretty lost amongst the xml files and getting a bit distressed, so I decided to just ask for help

I have a race which has a low tolerance for heat and like it cold. but it's to a far more extreme degree than I thought so my one colonist is constantly having heatstroke while everyone else is fine.
So I was going to go into the files and remove this temperature difference.
But I cannot find it no matter which files I look in. I was hoping there'd just be a file that had the basic race info and boom had the tag for heat and cold levels right there but I ended up getting quite stressed looking for it.
Any help would be great!

Tools / need default head textures

I'm trying to edit a mod and I need the original head texture files. I was told by the mod owner to replace the alien shaped heads with the default human ones if that's what I wanted, but I've searched all over and can't find these default files anywhere.

I'd originally tried just removing the texture folder in the file for the heads but that didn't seem to work.

So if anyone could provide the png files for those that'd be awesome

I don't know if that's to do with the mod. I seem to remember hardly ever, if ever, getting points for releasing prisoners lol. but might have just been me.

I dunno how to respond to the poll haha.
but I must admit I'm not a massive fan of the new cat-like look. They kinda remind me more of the cat nurses from doctor who and less of the more anthropomorph style I think you were going for.

Anyway is there any way of using the old more human-like style? where the ears and tail matched the hair and they had a human face?
I do have the prepare carefully mod and I seem to remember you mentioning a patch? I can't seem to find anything now.
And I designed the characters just how I wanted them and they looked great. but when going into the game they had the wrong hairstyles and looked odd.
Also I thought the hairstyles were broken because they had gaps where the ears should be but I just realised you probably did that on purpose and had the ears and tail separate right? I'd gone through all the trouble before of making a bunch of custom cat-versions of hairstyles XD I suppose i'll have to redo those

Can you also change the colour of the ears/tail with prepare carefully? (assuming a patch? X3)

Okay, try this: make sure your saves and mods are backed up. Then delete the game and its AppData folder (I think this step is new), restart your PC, and reinstall A14. Run it once with no mods, then exit and install the mods.

Ah that seems to have done it! I managed to start a game with it blank and then copied over mods, and had to make sure I deleted core from the backup. then i managed to fully set up a game last night (at 4:30 am -.-)

I'm thinking it might have been a problem with the CORE mod being copied over from the backup. For some reason even though I never touched my A14 folder, after I updated a bunch of mods in the A15 file, it also changed those mods in the 14 folder. this must have happened to Core too. it's really perplexing.

If you want to get rid of the annoying message, you need to delete the config file.  If you're on Windows, open the RimWorld menu, then click the button to open the save file location.  Go up a folder level, and it should be there (maybe - I'm typing this from memory).

If you mean the config file in the AppData folder I did delete that and then ran the game again to have it refresh the file and it does the same thing

I absolutely would just ignore the message. I get a plethora of messages from out of date mods (that function nonetheless). I set my log window to not auto open and just go on with my game.
The problem is, it isn't just a message, when I click "New Game" and it gives me the error, absolutely nothing happens, the game remains on the main menu. It gives me the error every time I click new game, so I cannot actually start one.

So I have a weird problem. I finally decided to upgrade to A15 and downloaded the game to a new location, set up my mods and all that, only, because of a bunch of mods & some very important ones like CCL not working, I decided to go back to A14 for now so at least I could still play the game as I had been enjoying it, just until a couple of my facvourites update. and CCL pretty much means all mods too.

Only i'm getting a weird error. When I try to start a new game, it says something about trying to load a file from A15. the exact error:
"- Loaded file is from version 0.15.1282 rev1151, we are running version 0.14.1234 rev65."

This happens whether my mods are on or off, and I have uninstalled my A15 game file, uninstalled and reinstalled A14, and deleted all folders in my Appdata folder, which the A14 game replaced on startup. but despite refreshign all that it is still trying to load an A15 file somewhere?
But I am NOT loading a game I am trying to set up a NEW GAME, I need to stress.
I did move my mods back in from the backup I made but the core mod was copied in fresh during the instillation.
Any help would be appreciated as this is an odd problem, and if reinstalling everything didn't work I don't know what will.

It definitely sucks we can't enjoy this mod with A15 until the CCL team updates. I can totally imagine a lot of work must have to go into that though. sounds like they are working on it.

Cus CCL is what seems to be the most broken with A15, and again I can imagine why. I just hope it all gets fixed soon, cus this mod has quickly become one of my favourites :3
I'll just have to play on A14 for now I guess.

I just finished making some cat versions of some of my favourite hairstyles too XD I really want to try making a bunch of unique hairs too, I already made one. But I have a question, when you're making hairstyles, is there a particular set of rules you have to follow for where the heads work? is there a base to go off or anything?
