Another one for this.  It seems that once you kick off the bestowing quest, if any colonist who is supposed to attend the ceremony does anything else, it enters a hang state and will not proceed.  Other colonists are locked and stay in the throne room until they pass out from exhaustion, as does the bestower.  There doesn't seem to be any way to re-initialize the bestowal or abort the failed ritual.

Hi everyone, Iamblichos here... probably familiar to those who haunt the DF forums  :)

-What introduced you to RimWorld? Or to this style of game in general?

Long time player of DF (check out Doomforests).  I saw an article on Rockpapershotgun.com about how this game was similar and yet different and cool in its own way, so bought it a few weeks ago on Steam.  I've been hooked ever since.

-What's your favorite other game?

Dwarf Fortress, definitely.  One of the only games I've ever stopped playing and returned to multiple times.

-Most embarrassing gaming-related story?

Spending one of my first colonies in Rimworld setting up all these elaborate buildings and defenses without planning out food sources.  Why are they eating corpses?  Oh god!

-What kind of breakfast cereal is the best?

I'm more of a protein with a side of protein breakfast guy myself  :)  Scrambled eggs and feta, picadillo omelet, etc.

Agreed.  This doesn't even map to real life; IRL addictiveness is inherent in the mind of the user, not the substance (in most cases, with some notable exceptions).  People prone to addiction will move from substance to substance (or in some cases, behavior to behavior) whereas someone not prone to addiction can use most things in moderation without too much ill effect.  Adding more substances to be abused makes sense, but ending up with a collection of drunks just because you researched brewing seems a little counter-intuitive... and counterfactual as well.

It would be nice if we could memorialize truly outstanding colonists with some sort of memorials beyond the standard grave/crematorium.  IRL people in these sorts of situations revert fairly quickly to superstitious animism just because of the constant stress, so it could give them a shrine of a hero/local saint to worship.  Maybe a mood bonus for being near it?  Or the fame of the local saint could spread and encourage tribal/wandering converts?
