Ideas / Recruiting Relatives
August 29, 2016, 09:15:38 AM
I hate when a person drops in an escape pod who's related to a colonist and is impossible to recruit.  Seeing your family member here should really get them to agree to join, I mean who'd leave their husband/brother/sister etc. to go wander when they could get safety here?  Don't make it an instant join, but it should decrease the challenge quite a bit.

I have an animal trainer at lvl 5, but 6 is the minimum to train squirrels and hares.  How do I raise that skill?

General Discussion / Thanks Tynan
January 22, 2015, 04:20:59 PM
Adding in alcohol and addictions, added in ability to rescue visitors.  Tynan listens.  You don't see this enough Tynan, but thank you for everything you're doing.

General Discussion / Mortars and Mountains
December 16, 2014, 10:00:49 PM
I've been trying to ignore it for a while but it's really getting on my nerves now.  How can a siegers' mortar shell go through the mountain and break shit?  My guy just died from one, and countless others have been wounded as well as much of my infrastructure.  It doesn't make sense to me, you'd think the mountain would stop the shell.

Ideas / Cannibalism for others
November 23, 2014, 03:02:32 PM
Meat can be eaten raw in the winter without getting sick in real life, prisoners used to do it when escaping prisons in Russia.  I think that if there are two prisoners that you have and you dont feed them, they should attempt to kill and eat one another.  Survival of the fittest would be interesting.

General Discussion / Gulag

With temperature mattering next release, you can now keep those prisoners who you want to torture in nice big open fields, naked, in the cold.  I'm excited!

We asked, he answered.  A simple feature, the ability to release prisoners.  I've wanted it for a while, if some poor guy crashes nearby and can't be of use, I don't want to execute him or sell him, just easier to heal him and release him.  Tynan added it.  Thanks man, appreciated.

Ideas / Release of prisoners
November 10, 2014, 02:57:00 PM
Extremely simple.  When someone crashes in an escape pod and I don't want them and don't want to wait for a slaver, there's no reason to kill the poor person.  I'd like the ability to simply put them outside and tell them to get lost.

General Discussion / Forever in Bed
August 28, 2014, 12:32:53 PM
I understand losing a leg keeps you in bed forever, never again able to move, and just eating food without working.  A lesser known injury is being shot in the head.  If the wound is yellow or orange, you will be able to move, just slowly.  If it is red, you are going to be in bed forever.  I have 2 colonists with red brain damage, and none with missing legs.  I refuse to kill them, as they have been with us forever.  I know peg-legs and such can be made, but can the brain ever be fixed?

Bugs / Starvation and Insanity with Visitors
August 14, 2014, 02:17:18 PM
So, a "friendly" tribe or some sort of group will visit your colony.  They will eventually starve, or go insane, and begin to kill each other.  While I appreciate having their guns and clothing, I believe it is a bit cheaty.  When they get hungry, they should leave the map.

Ideas / surrender
November 05, 2013, 12:40:53 PM
found this game on the df forums, looked good, purchased it. it is good.

a minor thing, and a thing DF itself doesn't have (yet) the ability for enemies to surrender to you if faced with mounting odds.  you're the last raider, your entire group shot dead.  the colony's snipers aim, and fire.  bam, no more raiders.  you'd think the last raider, if he knew he couldn't escape, would lay down their weapon and come quietly.  i'd love to see this.
