Tynan, being the mysterious mastermind he is, has finally combined consumables and character inventory in the dark recesses of his laboratory. Or has he?

Having colonists eat without making their way to a table would be a very nice blend of practicality (no need to go back to kitchen) and negative bonuses ("Ate off the ground! Blergh!). How would you like to see such system utilized? What items do you think fill the "practicality vs. negative bonus" idea?
