General Discussion / A15 storage area issues?
September 01, 2016, 11:44:32 AM
When I created my fridge storage zone I did the usual - hit clear all items, then selected the specific types of foods/corpses I wanted moved to my fridge.  The food worked fine, but the corpses didn't work initially...I had to play with changing the all/specific corpse types on/off until I finally got my colonists to recognize which corpses I wanted in the fridge (i.e.; only animals).

I then had a raid and decided to create a stockpile zone for human corpses - but I could not get my colonists to recognize the zone (I ended up burying them instead).

I never had this problem in A14.  (I started on A14, but I've played about 60 hours so I'm pretty familiar with the game now)

Has anyone else had a similar experience in A15?

Here are the mods I'm using in the order they load (kinda busy now, but if I get time tonight I'll create a new colony with no mods and see if that's the issue):
Vegetable Garden
[T] MoreFloors
EdB Prepare Carefully
Extended Prosthetics and Organ Engineering
Fences
Miniaturization
[T] MoreBedsVanilla
Muzzy-Utils
Xeva's Rimhair

Thanks!

Before I start - I'm fairly new to the game (about 40 hours total - all with A14), and still learning how to deal with raiders...

I play with Phoebe on Rough difficulty.

In my current game I have 7 colonists - 3 are non-violent, 2 have no combat skills, 1 has ranged 11, 1 has ranged 5.  One of the non-violent colonists does have an arctic wolf pet that is trained to be released.  My base is in a mountain and I have wall/trap defenses on all 3 access spots with about 6 wooden traps in each access lane (can't afford steel traps).  And, I have 3 turrets - 2 in range of each access spot.

On a bright note, I have a geothermal generator and a couple windmills - so power isn't an issue.

So, my question is, how many turrets do you think an access spot needs in order to make up for my lack of combat colonists?

Also, any other defensive suggestions since I can't seem to get colonists that will fight?

Thanks!
