Also the odds would depend on the relations with the town.  So if you got 100 after spending some silver, then it would be easier.

They could pay for rooms and food with silver or other goods, they have tabs like 'prisoner' where you can select if you want to recruit them.  rather than limit it to 1 per group.  say you lost a bunch of people in a fight.  lets you recruit from visitors without having to arrest them and tick off their town.  Maybe a mini trade window, or a land based caravan.  Just replace the mech with a wagon for animation.  Maybe some visitors need medical attention.  If you treat them (for money) it improves relations.

I keep my prisoners deep in the mountain, the same rooms as my colonists get.  5x6 with a light and potted plant.  soon as they convert i turn it back into a colonist room.

what i would like is to restrain prisoners with forced incapacitation.  so i can stick them in some tiny dark room while i wait for a slaver to show up.  or process them into meat.

my take on it is that weapons degrade by use and not naturally.

Tell that to the .22 rifle I kept in the trunk of my car for a few years, only to find that it had rusted into uselessness back there.  :)

I second this.  I use racks for holding advanced weapons, id prefer a way to change all their settings at once rather than one at a time.

Organ harvesting?  I knew about the artificial stuff but not that.  In alpha 7 Im going to make a colony of organ harvesting cannibals!  Speaking of canibals, can someone 'gain' that trait if you make them eat enough human flesh?

Nobody can gain cannibal traits.

And yeah. I think like two days ago he put in a thing where you can choose to amputate a limb with an infected wound (to avoid death).

I know they cant now, i mean, can traits like that develop naturally in a later version?

My setup is that my entire base is under the thick roof of the mountain and the only way in is through two killboxes.  And a picturesque path to the nearest edge when they flee... lined with more turrets.

Solar panels, Batteries, Turrets.  Plop them around the edge of the map to busy the raiders while you get your people in place.  No need for food or anything.  Just lots of metal to replace them.

I use the ship component Anti-Matter Reactor, I edited the part file to let me build it indoors and lined the back of my Mountain fortress with them.  LOTS of metal for very little power but you dont need the sun.

Ideas / Re: "Strip corpse" order
August 18, 2014, 04:45:14 PM
how about colonists simply strip anything they have storage for, got a spot for powered armor? gets taken off and put there without any extra orders.  no spot for tribal wear? off to the incinerator with the body.

or failing that, being able to config the bill at the incinerator so it wont burn corpses wearing things you want.  strips them before burning.

Hey, I went to college for C# (for all the good it did me finding a job lol) so ive got bug hunting experience.  Done some beta tests for games too.  I was going to write up a big review of the current version but seems silly now that 5 is on the way.  Would be fun to give it a shot and then do my review.
