Bugs / [A10F] Can't enter numbers in Outfit names

Maybe not a bug, but maybe it is.
When editing an outfit name it won't accept numbers.
When you create a new outfit the default name is 'Outfit 5' or 'Outfit 6', etc. suggesting that the field accepts numbers.

I once testified a situation where a colonist who had earlier gone through a psychotic break was SHOT AND KILLED by all the other colonists when I drafted them all and they were waiting for enemies in a ball formation.

What's weird is that they did this suddenly, after the group had already stopped. No psychotic episodes, no nothing, the guy did not turn hostile or anything. Just all blue, healthy characters under my control.

(it's a bug of some kind, making a friendly colonist appear hostile to others without actually turning red or losing player control.)

I also have a scenario like that. Colonist Yuri had a mental break and recovered. Since then whenever I draft colonist Lance he shoots at Yuri. Yuri never tries to attack Lance. Undraft Lance and he's cool and walks right past Yuri to do his work. Colonist Poppy has no issues with the other two. I noticed that Yuri and Poppy say 'male colonist of Colony' and 'female colonist of Colony' and Lance (the aggressor) says 'male villager of Colony'. I should probably post up the save file with a bug report.

1. At a machining table create a bill to make an artillery shell.
2. Select a colonist.
3. Right-click the machining table (to order the colonist to make the shell).
Observe the popup text says 'Prioritize disassembling at machining table'.

When you click Architect, Joy and hover over 'horseshoes pin' the last few words of the description are cut off (last visible word is 'even'). Need less text or bigger box.
Speaking of bigger box... also, the last line of (visible) text is clipped by about one or two rows of pixels. After checking other items, found the same issue with Cooler and Ship cryptosleep casket.
Tried various resolutions (including 1366x768 and 1024x768) with no change.

Very minor issue but the game's math does not add up.
Billiards and chess tables have base beauty of 10.
When made of gold the beauty should be figured as (10 + offset 18) * factor 600%
This is all listed in the item's info screen, click Beauty.
Now then, 28*6=168.
But billiards and chess tables made of gold have beauty 170.
Where did the other 2 come from?

Most other objects are fine, but others that don't add up include gold bed (156 vs 155), gold royal bed (408 vs 410), silver royal bed (168 vs 170).

Ludeonicrously funny, but some mod can feel free to bump this back to General. T's workin hard to clean up the real bugs.

General Discussion / Predictions for post Alpha 10

(This isn't about suggestions, rather predictions that are very likely to be realized.)

Difficult to see, the future is...
But using what we already know, I predict we'll eventually see the following in the core game:

  • Ice hole fishing. (The ice sheet is coming)
  • Animals for the ice sheet biome, like polar bears, seals, penguins.
  • Growable narcotics.
  • Something (or lotsa things) really cool that uses the AI Persona Core. It's useless unless you want to build a ship, so then it's just something to sell. (Before anyone mentions mods I'm talking about vanilla gameplay.)
If you want to suggest something, post it in Suggestions, otherwise...
What do you predict we'll see?

Go to the conduit that is touching the generator. Look to see if the blue line has a break and doesn't actually touch the generator. I saw this happen to a streamer on A 10f. If so, just delete that tile of conduit and rebuild it. Ensure you then have a continuous blue line. If you still have a problem, click a section of conduit. Then post a screenshot or post the numbers you get for connected rate/stored and include a list of all your power generators.

Dang it Tynan, why'd you have to go and make up a word that we, and you, can't even say? Not everything about Rimworld needs to be about suffering - wait, oh, yes it does.

Well, I think it's zayr-i'-jee-um. Rhymes with the word vestigium.

But in my mind (who actually has a need to say this out loud?) I go lazy and it's zayr'-a-gum.

Kayr-for-sum-gum? It has long-lasting flavor and medicinal properties!

Simple question, right? How is Xerigium supposed to be pronounced?
Don't forget to indicate what syllable is stressed.
Let's see what pronunciation wins the popular vote, or feel free to give your silliest rendition.
