[Top 15] Best Rimworld Mods For A Brand New Experience
https://www.gamersdecide.com/articles/best-rimworld-mods

After thousands of hours carefully planning out a rock-solid colony the game might get just a touch stale. There are hundreds of mods out there that can change the way the game plays in any way you see fit. Add some racial diversity or any amount of amazing new weapons. This is a list of my personal favorite mods on the Steam workshop.

[Top 10] Best Rimworld Combat Mods We Love!
https://www.gamersdecide.com/articles/best-rimworld-combat-mods

Fighting can get a little predictable after dozens of raids on your compound. If it's not predictable you're being driven nuts by those little mechanics that you've dreamed up that AREN'T in the game, but you know they should be. Spice up your Rimworld combat with some of my favorite mods.

[Top 5] RimWorld Best Melee Weapons and How To Get Them
https://www.gamersdecide.com/articles/rimworld-best-melee-weapons

Melee in Rimworld can be pretty intimidating with a lucky swing being able to leave a colonist permanently disfigured. If you plan on engaging the enemies in close-quarters combat you'd best keep your pawns as well equipped as you can! Check out my favorite weapons from the base game, let me know how you fare with them.

[Top 10] RimWorld Best Weapons and How To Get Them

Fighting is a huge part of surviving in Rimworld. Keeping your colonists well equipped is key to defending all that you've worked so hard for. There are better weapons with mods or the DLC, but in the base game, these are my favorite weapons.

[Top 5] RimWorld Best Armor and How To Get Them
https://www.gamersdecide.com/articles/rimworld-best-armor

Another important aspect of keeping your pawns all in one piece is keeping up with their armor. Some armors are better than others while others are cheaper and require less skill to make. In this article, I layout my favorite armors of the base game.

It's been random in my experience as well. I agree that if inspiration strikes a pawn it should have to do with something they're passionate about. It makes sense from a gameplay mechanical view and an RP view. I know the RP hardly matters, it's just how my dungeon master brain works. I treat my pawns like people and give them little stories in my head and all. If I spent more time playing I'd get mods that reflected this as well.

Why do gun nuts need entire armories in their house if they're never going to get to use the guns? It's fine if you want to start a collection or something like that. I also imagine they sell for a pretty decent amount. Also, don't you still need to eat in peaceful mode? Hunting is still a thing you'll probably have to do to survive.

It drives me wild to see my warheads gathering dust in my storage. The mortars certainly don't have to be perfectly accurate but make it require intelligence or gun skills. Seeming my pawns whiff four shots in a row in disappointing when I could have easily had them take a position with their minigun at that time.

General Discussion / Re: Introduce yourself!

Hey friends I'm no Rim-expert but love the game either way! I've got about 200 hours logged on Steam and I've actually recently been hired to write a couple of articles about Rimworld for GamersDecide. I was instructed to share them on the community forums so I guess be on the lookout for my work lol.

I've had a blast ruining the lives of dozens of pawns in my time playing, and I've had the most fun with the game after I installed the multiplayer mod on steam. It's a special brand of chaos trying to coordinate a colony with very different play styles between more than one person. It's a ton of fun.

I look forward to participating in the Rim-community. It looks like all the experts gather here with what must be hundreds of thousands of hours collectively. If not much more.
