Ok I just got linked to this for the modular tables in steam, since it didn't seem to be updated. I'm not sure why, since the content here seems to be for the non steam version. Or am I wrong? If so, how do i use the link for modular tables to make the steam version work? I would assume that was why i was linked to this thread....

why on earth are these doing this all of a sudden though? I pretty much have all the same ones on my comp at home and this didn't happen there.

was there a change in the game itself, perhaps?

I just installed the game on my work computer and DL'd these mods to pick and choose from. Not all that I DL'd are giving this message. I tried putting the suggested <targetVersion>0.15.1284</targetVersion> into the "Building_AnimalFeedTrough"dotxml document in the defs/ThingDefs folder of the animal feed trough mod but that didn't work. So.... now what?

So, i decided to connect my game to Steam, thinking I should be able to keep the sendowl version to play (love BaconBits' mods but they're not on steam afaik).
The only problem is now when i install the sendowl download it has the steam api in it. I have created a seperate folder under a different file name to do this but it's not working for me. Could somebody please tell me what i need to do to make it work? I have read some posts that suggest it's possible, but the info is directed at someone who knows more than I do.

ugh! now i can't get the sendowl one to install without the steam api. can i delete that? and are there other elements i need to delete with it? I'm trying to install it in another part of my drive with a different filename so i can keep my saves from the sendowl version before i let steam wipe them out.

Edit: This will allow me to be able to play the steam version and sendowl versions seperately from each other, right?

ok so i went to the store page and it now says i have the game in my library. Not sure why the version 8 went to my non-steam game, and i never got a key persay. I think i have the problem resolved now though. I have my steam settings set to not show the games i don't have installed so it didn't show up anywhere on my library. Just for future reference for anybody else running into this issue, Just go to the store page and it will confirm you have it. you can download it from there.

but i never got a key. How do i get a key? the link i followed only put the game on my non-steam list. I was a little confused but the more i read, the more i think i should have gotten a key, since i have had the game for over two years now. Am I wrong? Or will I need to purchase a second copy from Steam to enjoy the perks that come with the steam version?

I'm sorry if it seems obvious to you guys, but my research is leaving me with conflicting information. The Blog indicates that steam keys are available if i also want the steam version, but some of you guys seem to be saying that I can't do that.

The link for the keys is in a forum post that says keys are available, but the link provided did not provide a key. No explanations for the difference in information just do this and now you can start the game from steam, nothing more regarding keys. What am i missing?

Ok, I think I am understanding now. I did use a link provided in this forum to "register" it, I,ll look into the link provided here to confirm if it leads to the same link. Is there any reason why I can't have a DRM free version, and a steam version at the same time? Just wondering...
I really don't want to delete the old version at this time. Any suggestions as to where i might move it to? Do I need to move it completely off my computer or perhaps a specific folder would do the trick?

ok, i bought the game a couple of years ago and i already had version 8 on my laptop. I hadn't played in a long time and wanted to play again recently. So I downloaded 15 and installed it. So now I have version 8 and version 15 installed on my computer. I went to register the game with steam and it seems to have registered the version 8. Also, it didn't really "register" it either. It just added it to my "Non-Steam" list. Anyway when i start the game from steam now, it starts the version 8, not 15.

ok so i bought the game a long time ago and i currently have version 8f and 15c both on my computer. It appears that the older version was registered. Was this supposed to happen?
