Wow, nice mood in the story telling!
I hope Captain Green, Jericho and Amy made it safe to some planet facing new, hopefully less lethal, challenges?

There is something wrong with the charset however (for me at least) making all the quotation marks appear as squared question marks (missing symbol) causing clutter and making it less readable.

Hehe thanks for sharing the stories =)

I'm pretty new to the game and never had a colony of more than 6 pawns.

Jenna the miner with green thumbs
Jenna was better safe than sorry, she put up a solar powered turret and hauled huge stone blocks to work as make shift sandbags in various strategic places around her little limestone hut.

One sunny day at the mines a insane squirrel took Jenna for a tasty acorn and started chasing her. Having learned how serious just cuts and bruises can be and how poor the pistol preforms against melee she rushed for her safe house, not far away. Turrets, limestone walls within reach!

She died just seconds later.

Note to self: Do not run directly towards turrets if you have a psychopath squirrel just behind your heels.

Alex - Sharpshooter, miner
Learning from my mistake I made a ranged hunter with green thumbs. Now Alex can wield of threats from afar and mine myself a secure cave. He quickly died trying to hunt a boar with his gun in open field.

Tonight I decided to try the Scenario mod where you start with just one pawn.

Bates - brawler, crafter
I made a brawler, crafter type of guy, Bates, who'd seem to be pretty tough. The starter weapon was a pistol which he soon discarded. I did like Bates, he made a wind powered smithing table where he crafted himself a superior steel club and started making paste of some scarabs. Of course he got an infection from a tiny cut and I had to put him in a medical bed.
There he was, all alone, infection getting nasty, when the pirate came knocking down his wooden door armed with M16. Bates hid behind a corner, planning to welcome the pirate with his club. When the pirate turned around and started shooting at the wind turbine Bates jumped the pirate beating him to death, not taking a single scratch from the fight. Too bad he died from the infected scarab bruise on his way back to the sick bed, wearing his newly acquired kevlar helmet.
