Sorry! Maybe I need a "policy" about press access or something... So businesslike around here.
Pffft. You are a business cat now, dog! But keep in mind, that ANYONE who plays this game is press, not just people who have followings.
Back when i was egarly waiting for FTL, i'd watch every lets play on youtube/twitch, didnt matter who posted it.

No need to wait that long. Hells, I can give you the game as it stands now.
Just about flipped a table on that one... >.>
Edit: Let me clarify; table flips of jealousy, not rage...

This is very true aswell,
I know I sure as hell have picked up games in the 5 dollar bucket years after release only because it was cheap, and not because I was interested in the game itself

Huh, are the games any good? Not trying to insult, just curious.
LOL you made me gigglesnort with that one.

All things being equal getting 10 bucks from 10 people is better than 100 bucks from one, getting them on day 1 is better than on day 2.
This is also a strong point, selling the game for $10 or even $5 might mean that you get less per gamer, but people on the fence, like friends of mine who have NO IDEA what dwarf fortress was might be willing to pick up a game if it costs as much as their coffee.
I suppose this is part of the trade off eh?
In these situations, I always turn towards successful examples of other's work to model from.

Lol you are getting way into the suspension of disbelief... It might be a bit to early to tell, but I dont think this is guilligans island type of isolation. More like, you got stuck in Wyoming and no one wants to give you a ride...

You could add their name to the credits somehow. Like maybe add contributor names to a random character name table for anyone who contributes $15+. Ive seen some pretty interesting methods of giving rewards on KS.
Or you just make that the base level, I would imagine that if people want to help, they would want the game right?

Yea that was because Creative Assembly threw money at them to make videos about history relating to Rome Total War 2. Thats good stuff too, but kinda way off topic of their normal videos.

Woo! 700! Noice!
As for the Kick starter, does this mean you have to decide on a price point/revenue model before you go live in october?

^I am gonna have to agree. I think the art style is pretty awesome but I am not so sure how the public eye will see it... :/
