If heat is not a problem then jackets, they are faster to make, cheaper to produce, better vs bullets and won't slow down your pawns as much as dusters.

Similiarly brawlers should not lose their mind carrying pistol, yet they do.

Better crap than nothing, you get dead man debuff now tho, so theyre probably skipped even more in favor of power helmets.

Difficulty affects mostly storyteller interactions with you. I mean, seriously? You expect some hungry wild animal ignore walking sack of meat?  :P

Even without passion she will get to 10 and its pretty decent, above that she will lose xp but 11 shooting can still be enough.

How fast yayo pawn will feel urge to have next dose? Can flake be used instead to get mood buffs during withdrawal or it will be treated same due to same ingredient?

Medicine rare XP? Just abuse some big/medium animal with weak attacks, treat it and euthanise, you will get top docs and gunners in no time.

This is not really true, while armor vest have better % it covers less body parts and have less hp, this makes jacket/duster first line of defense that is more likely to soften damage to limbs than to stop it like vest or armor. This results in our beloved 10% debuffs in lost fingers and toes or simply unarmed :P or legless colonists.

Power armor though will give you better overall protection to limbs and body and thanks to high hp it is basically giving your pawns at least 200+ hp if they have really good quality armor.

So they are not a hive and so wouldn't have a "mother". Now your scenario would be good against the bug hives, except that you would have to go under the planet exploring various cave systems to find the mother bug. This would also be awesome. I can also see where your going with this because it feels very much like XCOM.

When you are raided storytellers mention that mechanoids come from a hive though.

Just open it from max range and let others do the job, it will be treated as raid. Or prepare brawler with shield to wreck them.
