Because of the challenges it offers, Rimworld is great today. The difficulty of creating a colony and then a civilization in the mid of the wilderness makes the game great, which is the reason why people love it today.

You need heat in the game, thus you create your fire or build a heater. You need electricty, so you create Solar Panels. There is dirt on the ground, you assign a colonist to clean it.
So why people don't want Hygiene need for colonists and later a Sewer system to build, I do not understand.

This game applies Maslow's hierarchy of needs very well, except the hygiene at the moment. This is a Colony Sim at least.

Yes it seems plumbing-sewer system is mentioned under "?UNKNOWN?", at the moment as there is already a mod for that, I hope that can be added to the vanilla game later.

Ideas / Vehicle/Mount System (Riding, Driving)

As we use World system in Rimworld, distances became very important. It is realistic to reach to other "close" locations in a few days on foot. So we need to have some vehicles to reach to destinations faster, otherwise "World" function (which is a great and essential addition) gets boring pretty fast.

Taming Alpacas, Dromedaries (maybe adding stray Horses, Wild Donkeys too later?) to make them ride will be cool to use them as vehicles at the beginning (riding Elephants for attacking will be better I think). Then cars will be nice, that we run by coal, steam, gas, electricty, etc. Probably then this request will be followed with Tanks, or cars that we see in Madmax will make the game very eccentric. Also when Raiders attack the colony with their lunatic cars, it will create a crazy sight probably.

Also having a vehicle should create much bigger inventory when going to World map. It is nice when Traders visit us with their animals carrying weight, it will be nice we do same too.

Every civilization requires a Sewer System.
Of course it is not very important when you start in wilderness at the beginning, but when you start to have a place you call "home", hygiene must start to become important, especially if you built a base where some of your colonists never go outside to get relieved. (I have a mountain base, which I have some colonist examples)

Also even when you have homes in outside, at least some colonists should desire to have toilet/bath system in their homes or in middle areas.
Otherwise cholera and other dangerous illnesses must visit in Rimworld environment, for the sake of realism.

How to create/Mechanism:
A pipe system like electrical cables can be furnished on the ground. Like how we see cables when we click to "Power", we can see the pipes when we click to "Plumbing" or "Sewer" buttons (Prison Architect has similar). Homes or Base should require "toilets" to have hygiene, "bath" for extra hygiene. Otherwise majority of people should feel discomfortable when they didn't get shower or find a suitable place to poop. Pooping at homes must create a disease outbreak. Otherwise assigning somebody for "cleaning" should be more important to get rid of "dirt" at homes.

The only way is to melt steel chunks from debris around the map and from the raiders that drop down in pods. Mechinoids also carry steel so kill them and dismantle them if you haven't already.

I need other good ways to bring steel, which constructing the ship with my poor colony resources seem to be impossible right now.

If that is in your reach, is it possible for you to share the expedition mod? I searched the forums and couldn't find it unfortunately :/

However you tell me there are no features like going for a Raiding Party to plunder, or Expedition to Mine resources (even setting up a new camp to grow extra food or metal) and we need to hold fast on grinding steel. That's so sad. It seems this is the end of game for me until seeing a new update.

And having a large Map of the World without going anywhere is very stressing.

As I am about to beat the first colony, the map I am playing doesn't have enough steel for me to build spaceship. And I had sold some steel weapons and sculptures already without thinking ship components and component table would cost so much steel beforehand. (Steel cost of Component Table is also pretty high and consuming 25 steel for every component! a microchip cost equals to 5 metres steel wall?)

And steel is not a resource that I can find among traders too...

What to do? Any advices? I already deconstructed all steel furnitures and walls already.

Can't we go to expedition with few colonist or sending them to mine necessary resources on the map elsewhere? Any thoughts? Thanks
