Because of the challenges it offers, Rimworld is great today. The difficulty of creating a colony and then a civilization in the mid of the wilderness makes the game great, which is the reason why people love it today.
You need heat in the game, thus you create your fire or build a heater. You need electricty, so you create Solar Panels. There is dirt on the ground, you assign a colonist to clean it.
So why people don't want Hygiene need for colonists and later a Sewer system to build, I do not understand.
This game applies Maslow's hierarchy of needs very well, except the hygiene at the moment. This is a Colony Sim at least.
