After i read a bit in the forum, I started installing some mods. And then some more.. they really improve missing parts of the game. As a the main game dev, can't you just add good mods to your core? Like the better pathfinding mod is aweseome, or is that somehow considered stealing or something?

Fog of war: You don't see the whole map, only where your Colonists are - so no animals to hunt / tame, no enemys, minerals to mine
Actually on a second thought, if colonist can see like a screen wide and you can build watchtowers or so to see, that isn't that bad idea

Ideas / Various Suggestions

I have recently bought the game and almost played 100 hours, I just love it! Here is a List of different improvements I wrote down during my play and I think would improve the game quality:
Cheers Pure
- Skill upgrade indicator: I really want to see the awesome +1 Crafting or +1 Mining appear over peoples head when they level up!
- Global shortcuts: I would like to have global shortcuts for my architect which work regardless of what menu I'm in. Like S is always the Structures menu and than W is always build a wall. So i can quickly type S and W to build a wall.
- Tools: I can craft tools for my people to use, like a pickaxe which increase mining by +3 or a hammer for building.
- Rain dirt: Rain should wash away dirt
- Rain fertilizes: Rain should increase plant fertility
- Backpacks: What about tailoring backpacks for increased carrying capacity?
- Animal behavior: Animals should avoid people, based on their type
- Aware dogs: Dogs bark if a threat is near and possibly scare it away
- Wall replacement: I want to be able to click with like a marble wall on a wood wall and it should be marked for replacement. Same for doors.
- Night Owl: Person who are Night owls should not be afraid in the dark
- Hunting taming list: A list of every animal I'm currently hunting or taming would be nice. On large maps Its really annoying to search manually
- Fighters training: A shooting range and melee rack to practice the fighting skill would be great
- Feeding Injured Animals: Shouldn't people feed animals kibble/hay instead of real meals?
- Prisoners striptease: I want to force strip down a prisoners armor, which I can than use, like their weapon
- Improve item quality: It would be great if you could improve the quality of things, like a bed or cloth, but it takes some time
- Repair items: It would be great if you could repair items
- Increase the steps: If I want to make exactly 400 meals, I now have to click 400 times. I want to shift click the arrow, where I increase the amount to produce to 10 rather than 1.
- Painkillers: Add painkiller so the game, for people with permanent pain
- Useful Doctors: We have technology like Cryo sleep, but can't treat back pain? More treatment possibilities for doctors for different conditions would be nice
- Healthbar: A Healthbar under the character Icon, similar to the mood indicator
- Path finding improvement: carrying: If someone was harvesting somewhere and is afterwards returning to the base, he should carry the just harvested item with him. Or if I fought a battle somewhere and on the way back to base they can take the loot with them. So the they should check if something to carry is on or near the path they are taking anyway.
- Fire direction: fire should only expand in the way the wind is blowing

You know you can set the priority of the Stockpile higher, so they first haul items there
