I think this question was raised before and the answer is, they needed exotic-sounding names for tribal people and landmarks of Rimworld, and picked a source on a whim. This list on Wikipedia appears to match almost exactly:

FYI, there is a workaround in that you can arrest a colonist, then stuff them into the cryptosleep casket, then they will not be in the colonist tab.

Gauranlen trees can already provide three basic resources that cover a large variety of a colony's needs, but there's a conspicuous gap with them not producing textile of any kind. It could be a good way to introduce silk into the game.

Additionally, since gaumaker dryads are kinda underwhelming, how about adding another unique dryad to tree connection ideologies... namely dryads that produce ambrosia? That would make the meme more desirable and interesting.

Reduce the mood debuff for losing a relative when a pawn has very many relatives of that type (10+ siblings or children).
