I think the bigger gap is that psychically deaf pawns are still affected by invisibility. If invisibility were an effect on other pawns not the target, psychically deaf pawns would see the target

If you want a vanilla option, you can dose your pawn up with consciousness enhancing drugs like Go-Juice or Yayo for long enough for them to change clothes

General Discussion / Re: Slavery - what is it good for?

I haven't personally confirmed this, but my understanding is that slaves count for lower wealth than other colonists. So slaves won't attract as many raiders as a regular colonist will

General Discussion / Re: RimWorld Needs Steam Achievements!
January 19, 2022, 04:41:54 PM
I don't really agree. I don't think achievements would make this game more meaningful. The game is inherently non-linear — it doesn't want box you into a specific pathway. You don't have to play X way, just play your way.
I've heard stories of people playing hundreds of hours and never launching a ship. Their gameplay is as legitimate as legitimate as anyone else's, and I don't think Ludeon should push them to change ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

General Discussion / Re: How do you get slaughterers to haul the carcass
January 11, 2022, 11:37:28 AMQuote from: rtuinila on December 18, 2021, 08:17:14 AM
Hi Folks,
How do you get slaughtered carcasses hauled reliably. I'm losing so much meat due to rotting before I notice all these carcasses and can assign someone to haul them. Shouldn't
the slaughterer have the same rule as a hunter? You kill it you carry it?
Thanks!
I'm not sure if this is what you're asking, but in your fridge/freezer stockpile:
1. Untick "allow rotten"
2. Tick "Animal corpses"
3. Set priority to "Preferred"

Did you go through the tutorial on the title screen? It will help you get the basics down.

General Discussion / Re: I am not complaining. Is it impossible to survive on highest difficulty level?

I can't do it, but there are people who are capable of playing on higher than the highest. For example, check out this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpsqk21TRVg&list=PLS-hAL3jgjOu365OXZi5Dr48cHAfJVKp8
This guy is playing on max difficulty, with raids bumped up 500% in size

The slab beds sound most similar to a sarcophagus. But otherwise, no, you can't.

If you disband and reform the caravan, do they choose the same path?

I'm unsure whether I will be getting the steam release so I'm worried about something. What if there is a scenario or mod that I want but its only on the steam workshop? How would that work for someone who doesnt have the steam version of the game?
If you buy directly from Ludeon, you can get a Steam copy for free: https://rimworldgame.com/getmygame/

Ideas / Re: Stop going into insect hives while on a mental break.

So frustrating seeing "Colonist Needs Rescue" because a pawn on a phychite/food binge ran into an infestation to eat the insect jelly, even though the jelly is forbidden, the area is forbidden, and the door to the cave is forbidden.
Might as well just have them wander over to the armory and put a gun in their mouth.
In these cases, it can make sense to be proactive and arrest the pawn and immediately release them back into your colony. All mental breaks end immediately when the pawn is arrested. Of course, you need to do this before they start sprinting for the jelly.

Put Wonton in the cryosleep casket. Research all your way to the end of the space ship.
Make that spaceship with only one seater and sent the Wonton. We will meet again.... on the Glitterworld.
To add onto this, there should be a few cryptosleep caskets in the ancient danger on the map. Use the claim option on it once you've raided it. This will let you skip the research needed to build one

Thanks! I never noticed those popups before, much less understood their meaning. Looking at the wiki, it says "Brain injuries are always permanent and will never heal on their own. Eye injuries have a much greater chance of being permanent than usual." Does that mean some human body parts can heal?
When a body part gets injured, it can be permanently injured or temporarily injured. You'll know because after the pawn is at full HP (no red health bar), they still have the injury under their tab. The injury may also say "permanent". Such injuries do not heal without special intervention (replacing the part, luciferium, healer mech serum)
I'm not sure if you can change a downed person's clothes. I'm not aware of any such functionality.
