In Cantonese it is also a vulgar word meaning "male genetilia" - so it would mean "dick!"
Something something "wood."

But in all actuality, I'm not sure. They might've gone with something that just sounds cool.

Not sure if this fully constitutes as a bug, but I've noticed that the little role icons on the colonist bar for ideologies are scaled rather poorly, and it makes distinguishing them rather difficult.

The following screenshot was taken at 1080p resolution, with UI scaling at default/1x.
You can see scale artifacting because the role icons are being shrunk down to fit.
I feel like these could be slightly increased in size on the colonist bar to reduce the artifacts, or even be reworked for the colonist bar entirely.

Did you got problems with RW 1.2 before too ?

No, 1.2 and earlier gave me zero issues. As I've stated in my main post, this only occurs with 1.3 versions.

Ever since the stable 1.3 release (I haven't tried the open betas; I doubt it'd be any different) I've been experiencing a very concerning bug with RimWorld as a whole.

This happens in both Vanilla + Modded. But I will only be addressing Vanilla for this topic.
This ALSO happens in both Ludeon Website versions + Steam versions. But I will only be addressing the Steam versions for this topic.

My game window will "freeze" on a single frame, but will continue to run. This happens at any random moment while playing with a colony.
I can still hear the game's audio, as well as the little audible cues from mousing over UI buttons and pressing hotkeys.
So I know the game's still working on a technical level. I just can't see what I'm doing. I have to exit the game via ALT+F4.

I've tried doing the following:
- Complete game uninstalls/reinstalls. This includes wiping leftover data from "LocalLow\Ludeon Studios" and the game's install folder.
- Ensuring my drivers are up to date. This includes re-installing them.
- Verifying my game files (on Steam). I've done this countless times.
- Simply restarting my computer. Because it doesn't hurt to try, right?

Additional spec information:
OS: Win10, x64
RAM: 8 GB
(I can supply further information upon request, I'm not sure what else might be needed.)

Of course, my log will be attached to this post.

I've also done some simple searching around online.
I've discovered a bunch of people having similar issues with various Unity-based games in the past, including with RimWorld itself.
But unfortunately I can't seem to find any concrete method of resolving this.

Vanilla RimWorld [1.3.3066], with Royalty [1.3.3066] and Ideology [1.3.3066]
Ludeon website versions (non-Steam, non-GOG)

After creating a colony and loading into a map tile, I am unable to do any right-click actions, for example force wearing, force equipping, force-hauling, etc.

Looking into the Player.log, it generates an error every time I try to right-click something while having a colonist targeted.
The log has been attached to this post.

Support / Re: Override Mods folder location?

QuoteThere is no commandline parameter for changing the mods-folder.
That's a shame. Hopefully it can be planned for future builds.
Thank you for the answer!

Support / Override Mods folder location?
March 26, 2020, 08:06:21 AM
So I know it's established that you can override the location of saves, but what about the location of mods?
I'm essentially wanting my Steam build to be able to still read from "steamapps\workshop\content\294100" when I'm running it in non-Steam/offline mode (AKA: Directly running the RimWorld.exe outside of Steam)
It would save me a lot of hassle, because right now I have to manually copy each mod I download (or update) from the workshop over into the \Mods directory, basically duplicating the mod folders and eating up unnecessary storage space.

Would this be a possibility?
