Because i would like people to be able to post there saves here to be able to receive advice from other members and possibly start something like that chain of save-swapping in dwarf fortress... :D

I haven taken into account all of what you said, players must host their own worlds for download. Remember to post the saves!  ;D

If the shit hits the fan at base, you can bug out onto the ocean in a big 30-40" boat, this could have good opportunities for pirates. ;)

Body bags- temporary graves that last up to 2 weeks before rotting from the inside, reducing morale.

Hidden gun emplacements. A seemingly peaceful shed, then a machine gun opens up from inside, straight into you. Surprise Attacks

Textiles customising clothes and building your own with a wooden mill for muffalo's wool to be turned into cotton, shearing done at butchers/modded table.

tanning would be like this, with hides as a byproduct of butchering, and a tanners workshop (special table) as the mill

I think cloning more colonists is too OP, but I support the limb growing idea. Surely that would be old tech by then? It'd take some time though!  :D

 :) this is good- look at the temperature suggestion it's very similar with ideas about clothing etc. I like the different housing/walls idea- think igloos and tents? dusty/snowy buildings and brittle metal would play a part in the ice north

Sorry if this has been posted before  :P but I'd like to suggest the idea of Textiles, gathering wool from muffalo's, making in into clothing,or making patches to repair clothing.with different (custom?) designs for your colonials. Also tanning would go hand on hand, as well as dying and you'd need a mill to spin the wool and a sewing kit/sewing machine (latter is obviously faster-non electric version slower) making blankets/ hot climate sheets would insulate or cool people in beds- this goes well with the "temperature" suggestion, or to help people who are incapacitated get on their feet- think shock after being shot- they get cold- blood doesn't flow as well. Making blankets would help with this. You could also make body bags/coverings and hidden gun emplacements and in hot climates, cheap cloth doors. Sorry I'm so in depth- my mum teaches textiles!
