A short date is shown for each message in the history menu where the month is 3 letters. But these can't be just any 3 letters, some 3 letter months make the text overflow. In the attachments is the English "Apr" for Aprimay and Finnish "Huh" for Huhtitouko.

Translations / Re: Almost complete English DefInjected for 15.1280

Hey, I have been doing almost the same thing on GitHub: https://github.com/Sakuukuli/RimWorld-Templates
I haven't updated it to alpha 15 yet because I have been busy, and my code needs rewriting, too. You can try my scripts if you have Python 3.2 installed. What's this mythical 'program' you are using?

Translations / Re: PawnKindDef injection is broken for animals in alpha 14

Yeah, my bad. It would've helped if I had actually read the instructions for making translations, because it says:
I just always assumed it was that the folders had to be the same minus the 's', but it's actually completely different.
QuoteTo do other def types, make other directories under DefLinked named after the type of def you want to modify.
e.g. to modify the FactionDefs, make a folder called FactionDef and put your translations in it.

Translations / PawnKindDef injection is broken for animals in alpha 14
July 16, 2016, 05:06:07 AM
With alpha 14, PawnKindDefs for animals were moved inside their ThingDefs files. Now there are definitions for ThingDef and PawnKindDef for each animal one after other in the same file. Because they have the same defName, though, the injection only translates the fields in the first Def, as that is the first one it finds for both definitions. Now the names of animals that are shown when a pawn is selected are untranslatable.
I know this is all highly technical and many people might not get anything from it, but I didn't want to just send a PM to Tynan in case there are other people thinking about the same problem.

Cool! How did you find about these? Can backstories be translated?

I just wanted to let everyone know I've updated my templates to alpha 10 after a long pause in case someone was waiting on it.

This tool would make translating much easier! It reminds me of https://crowdin.com/, but that one has a monthly fee.
I've made translate-ready templates for translating DefInjected's: https://github.com/Sakuukuli/RimWorld-Templates
I've also included the script that I used to generate those files, it's not pretty but it might give you some ideas: https://github.com/Sakuukuli/RimWorld-Templates/blob/master/RimWorld_DefsToDefinjecteds.py

After messing around with translation for a bit I have some things to say:
1. Corpse labels are untranslatable.
When I click on a dead body of a wild boar the name is correct: "Villisika (kuollut)". That said, when I click on the I-symbol there are untranslated entries there. It says "Wild boar" in the title of the window and "wild boar ruumis" in the description of the object.
2. I made templates for all the DefInjected's.
I converted all the labels in Def's to translate-ready DefInjected's so that translating them would be as easy as translating Keyed's.
https://github.com/Sakuukuli/RimWorld-Templates
You can do with it as you please.
3. Shouldn't it be cryosleep and not cryptosleep?
