Ugh. I would love to get into dwarf fortress but it's just so difficult to jump into, are there any games like df but are easy to jump into?

no DF is unique, i never saw a more complex game than DF, and believe me, i*m looking the whole time for something similiar (so i found also Rimworld) 

more complex are some mods for DF, like masterwork mod or deons mods

actually masterwork makes it less complex.

You should watch some youtube tutorials and you can easily get into df im not the brightest light on the earth and even i managed to flood my fortress a dozen times

i mean, if you want it more complex you shouldnt turn anything off 
with alot of youtube tutorial and the http://dwarffortresswiki.org/ , you can learn very fast the gameplay.
but be careful, once you get in, you*ll never be able to play/enjoy other games like before, coz you will allways miss the complexibility of DF 

i dont like wikia,

it is confusing, most time you cant find what youre looking for and there are a lot of ads, so my old laptop on work cant handle it 

better is mediawiki, better navigation and presentation

in other latin languages it would be very hard to translate,

the main problem is to translate in chinese, cyrillic, arabic or other than latin letters 

Question: is it possible to create own weapons? and are they use ammunition? so if you don*t have ammunition, ure not able to shoot?

It makes sense to me: if you don't reach your KS goal, the game won't theoretically be published, and the early access for all backers lose its interest while adding more pressure to you until the KS end.

If you need more time to get out an alpha up to your standards, go on. Remember we're in "pre-alpha" by your exact words.

what about facebook present? you should get there also a lot of followers

yep, a good learning curve with more and more features to discover is really better

but please at least with an option with full acces for experienced players
