Wow, this is a great community thanks! I think that mod would be amazing, and do you guys think there'll be a chance that Ludeon will make it an option or something that we could have the processes separated?

Thank you for the responses, and I'm sorry that I messed with the font and I wasn't clear enough. In regards to BlackSmokeDMax, yes, I was thinking of those Alphas, I couldn't remember the exact numbers though. So why did Ludeon merge the colony and world making processes?

Hello guys. I remember a time in RimWorld's history where when you made a colony, you generated a world, that colony died, then you made a new one and didn't have to generate a new one. I loved this feature because you could go visit your old colony on the world, maybe just for the lore or even to use as a new base. So, why did Ludeon decide to go with making a new world for every "new" colony?

Just in case anybody wanted to make a mod for a recent version, here is what I did. Get an XML editor ( I don't know any other coding options ) then copy the xml files you want from the "core" mod, then just experiment. Hopefully this helps any new modder who wants to give it a try.  :)

It's just a suggestion, but I was wondering if you could add the Laser Drill from Enhanced Defense: Phoenix Edition, so we could dig our own steam vents. :)

I want to know how to mod, but the modding tutorial on the wiki seems like it is for Alpha 4. So, I was wondering if anyone could update it for all the new modders who need to learn how to code RimWorld? Thank you for anyone would do this for us.  :)

When I first start a new colony, all I have under structures is a rubble wall, and a scrap metal wall, I know this is supposed to be the beginning technologies for your colony, but shouldn't there be a door? Is there supposed to be a door on the structure tab or did I do something wrong?  :-\
