Bugs / "Why can't I post a new bug report?"
October 27, 2022, 04:47:52 PM
For the sake of efficiency and ease of use for all parties we're moving away from using the forum for bug handling and going straight to the development Discord!

Please head over here to report your bugs and other various problems please: https://discord.gg/MwnRrXt :) thanks!

If I delete this account, will all my messages be deleted too or will remain as "guest"?

If anyone cares, I got banned from discord because of bs, so I might as well carry on with this. If you dont care, too bad, I just wasted your time.

its also meaningless to post suggestons here, so...

Discord name?

Valve has been absolutely nothing but uncooperative and I have disclosed why, I have told you this and was obviously posting to get you/tynan/someone else to bypass the bastards.

I strongly advise you stop treating me like shit, it only make you look worse.

Where am I treating you like that Dentine? I'm continuing to work with you quite literally a year later after your initial post. You're making demands, and I am not going to follow them because at the end of the day I don't have to. I'm being quite respectful truth be told despite you treating me like I'm some sort of bootlick who should just jump because you said to. Your ban stays because you haven't proven to me that you can respect Valve's TOS which is what you were punished for, the only other person to step past that would be a Valve support team member. You won't get far in life threatening people when you don't get your way and this is a prime example of such; I'm not your enemy, I'm just the guy here to make sure people follow the rules. Why can't you accept rules for what they are like everyone else friend?

Did you disable PM's on my account as the sent list no longer updates?

I should also note that I am part of a major political faction known as the dissident right and that you should deliberately avoid pissing us off as we are an anti-extremist movement fighting back against severe corruption and are a deciding factor as to whether games and other media are successful or not. It's called "Get Woke Go Broke".

So suck it up and unban the account from the steam hub as I already told you that there will be no more issues between me an the corrupt valve staff on your hub, and that fucking with me can negatively affect Ludeon's reputation.

Did I disable your ability to DM people?
Are we concerned about you rattling a toy saber about who you belong to politically and whatever "damage" you think you can cause us because you got banned from posting on Steam's forum?
Am I going to unban you from Steam forum?

ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS AND MORE ANSWERED WITH ONE SIMPLE GIF:

Please stop while you're ahead dentine. I could have banned you a few times now as you've broken forum rules but at this point I feel it would be a moot point because I don't believe you're a terrible person, just a bit... blinded to the fact that I've told you to take it up with Valve directly.

literally nothing but political stuff

That's why we're not unbanning you dear. I said no political after Valve said no political and then advised you keep those thoughts to yourself and your brightest idea was "I'm going to blurt out a whole bunch of nonsense that's exactly what I was told not to post while trying to express to someone why I'm safe to unban."

The ban stays because you can't control yourself. Steam isn't your platform, RimWorld isn't your platform, you have earned that ban and clearly have only gotten worse in the year/years since you've gotten them.

Have a nice day Dentine, please be safe friend.

WHAT I SAID WAS NOT HATE SPEECH as all I did was say accurate negative crap about the regressive left which they totally deserved for being extremist animals who are rapidly evolving to be on par with jihadists, and I doubt valve would notice you or your superior Tynan removing the ban.

Also I think I forgot to send it to you, are you guessing or did you get it from Tynan?

Take it up with Valve dentine, the ban is staying on our end; if Valve thinks you're safe to unban that's on them but I don't really feel comfortable that you can "not be political" when you're being political right now... It's literally as simple as keeping your thoughts to yourself friend.

Nope. Can I get your Steam profile? Maybe I can look up your ban?

I am going to PM it to you, there is a moderation panel that allows you to unban users and yes I know it unbans users banned by valve.

"I am going to PM it to you" yes you did!

"there is a moderation panel that allows you to unban users" yes there is!

"yes I know it unbans users banned by valve" you most certainly are correct!

And no I'm not unbanning you because I read your post that lead to your ban and I'm respecting the TOS that Valve had you agree to regarding politically motivated attacks against others and hatespeech. I'm sorry you don't agree with it but I don't make the rules Valve does, and this community respects the rules as placed by Valve just as much as they respect our somewhat more open minded but still respective of others efforts.

Also odd of you to finally get back to me after a year friend but hey I hope the last year has treated you well! I'm sorry I can't be of more use to you at this time but it's just not something I see a reason to unban you for. Please reach out to Valve support if you would like to learn more about the TOS agreements you signed or to see if they agree you should be unbanned.

Nothing wrong with that at all friend, just wanted to let you know where everyone is hiding! :)

The forums are typically more of a "deadzone."

It's up for ease of communication for some, to store mods, give feedback and bug reports, etc but in reality 99.8 percent of our community is on the Steam forums. If you'd like to discuss Biotech with much more activity I'd recommend going to https://steamcommunity.com/app/294100/discussions/

Is there more to talk about? Everyone is inactive.

This forum is seldom used anymore. You should try the Steam Community page if you're looking to talk to others about RimWorld, or possibly the primary Discord.

This topic is translated using free translation software, translation quality cannot be guaranteed.
This topic focuses on the birth of Rule 14 and some of the details of the IGNI's Lost Forest and RJW conflict.

In particular, some gamers still regard IGNI as a "tragic hero" who abandoned the mod's public creation due to the cyber violence of RJW players..... It ignores the birth of rule 14.

Digression: For IGNI's creations to suffer from "RJW", I say... Sympathy. I talk to a lot of modders (IGNI included) who treat their creations like their daughters... They are sad to see their creations suffer misfortune.

I would like confirmation from Ludeon (as the supreme arbiter of rimWorld mod community)
1-Was the creation of Rule 14 related to the IGNI Lost Forest hostile incompatible action?
2-IGNI's Lost Forest suffering "This item is incompatible with RimWorld." in RimWorld's STEAM workshop, was it a response from Ludeon?
3-Have Ludeon received reports of hostility incompatible action in IGNI's Lost Forest resulting in player saves being broken?

1. No, it existed before the Lost Forest issue.
2. As far as I know yes it was done via Ludeon's Steam support team.
3. Yes which is why the mod was marked as incompatible.

Personal opinion that is my own and does not relate to anything official from Ludeon, nothing is worse than putting in hazardous code to punish people who use another mod. I don't agree with the mod that sparked this response from the mod maker but I even more don't agree with hostile action in a way that could harm the playability of others. There is always a better way to get your feelings out.

Hi, you don't have to apologize for using translation software.

I'm pretty much the most active admin in terms of handling folk these days with the exception of direct staff who take care of bug reports and similar things.

I'll yell/punish people if they go into a thread and act like a jackass. If you have a legit concern with content theft/etc and bring it up in a thread then be sure to report the thread using our report function and I or someone else will take a look at it.

The only time anyone's posts ever go missing or otherwise anymore, as far as I know, is when I wipe bots (we get a good bit of them) or if they were causing unwelcomed problems/trolling and wouldn't stop when warned.

You can also DM me directly if you're having a problem and I'll do my best to take care of it as long as it pertains to either this forum itself or the Steam Workshop to an extent.

OK, thanks for your reply and moderator's attention.

The attempt to deprive the right of criticism does not happen in "an Official Ludeon Discussion Forum, or one controlled by Ludeon staff". This matter is more complicated.... I will confirm the details with you in a private message.

(Although I really wanted to know about IGNI's Lost Forest Suffering "This item is incompatible with RimWorld." In RimWorld's STEAM Workshop, was it a response from Ludeon? But this is another topic content... Well, can I send you a link to this topic?
(And, does Report to Moderator not just mean 'to Report irregularities and infringements' but also to ask for the moderator's attention? OK, I will use this function to report other content that needs the attention of moderators.)

but i want to know now
Are other official forums (official forums other than "Here and Ludeon Staff Control Forum") also subject to Ludeon Community Rules?
Or is there another possibility?

And I really want to know about the right to criticize. Do modders have the right to "demand" players not to criticize their mods (as per Rule 1- not personally)? It's not "please", it's "demand". The difference is that "please" can't punish non-compliance, whereas "demand" has a certain... Consequences of non-compliance.
(It is possible that the translation of these words is not accurate... I know these words don't have these extended meanings in English.)

Alright so I'm going to do my best to explain as much of what I understand from your questions and you can let me know if I miss anything. :D

As far as I know we had Lost Forest removed for breaking essentially our Terms of Service when doing anything Rimworld modding wise; it had bad code in it that was causing it to destabilize the client if it detected another mod. That's a big no-no and not only was against what Ludeon says when making mod content but I think it also broke several Steam side rules.

Reporting to moderator on this forum sends me a ticket of that post so I can investigate.

Reporting on Steam alerts myself and several others that there may be an issue but I believe it also alerts Steam's personal moderation team to investigate but I could be wrong.

Ludeon controls the Ludeon.com forums. This is the official forums for Rimworld; that being said there are... dear lord at least fifty-three forums for Rimworld that I actively know about, none of them are controlled by Ludeon, Tynan, myself (acting as moderator/community liason~support, etc), but instead are controlled by their own teams. We have no real power to interact or control what they do just shy of breaking the law or risking certain aspects of Rimworld from a legal sense.

On here we allow criticizing but keep it clean. Don't like a mod, well you can tell a mod maker that you don't like their mod but also be a nice enough person to take the five to ten minutes to explain why you don't like a mod. Don't fight about it, don't be rude, and certainly don't be toxic. Critique like an adult looking for similar adult feedback. I normally step in when someone reports a problematic review against a mod but those are far and few.

Now when it comes to Steam at most I can shake my fist and tell people to be nice when reviewing Steam workshop content; a mod maker reserves the right to block and report whomever they want from their Steam workshop page, can argue however they want, etc. My job is to make sure things run smoothly but the social aspects of the mod workshop is a fickle thing and at best I just tell people to stop before elevating it to Steam support to take care of... bit more of a wild west situation for a lot of the Steam workshop. :D

SilentMug I owe you an apology; I have been testing new anti-spam countermeasures and it flagged your posting as potential spam this morning. I've since whitelisted you and am beyond sorry for the trouble, I am new with this system and am still trying to tinker how it functions.
