I bought the game after seeing Scott Manley on youtube play Alpha 2, which I too played for around ~70h. I thought I had gotten my money worth of gameplay out of this fantastic game.
I was amazed at the introduction of the temperature mechanics, shocked by the removal of the fear mechanics (I loved the cages), confused why my walls didn't contain wires anymore at some point. This game has now served me more than 450h of fun, and I bet it will continue to do so in the future.
I love the modding community, the friendly people in the forums, the Steam Workshop, the stories that just happen and how the game developed.

I was just wondering if there is a possibility to download the older version of RimWorld. I know there is a package full of pre-alpha or even pre-RimWorld projects, but I want to play Alpha 1-15 again. Neither steam nor sendowl has the option to roll back.
Can somebody supply me some link (keep it legal)?

I have encountered a problem, I can't install any body part on any colonist. I have tried every part. When I reinstall the modpack is my savegame going to work? Also is the bug maybe in the savegame and I have to start over? That would be terrible since I've put a lot of time into that savegame.

Thanks dershamc903 and simon-82 for clearing up that one indeed needs to research surgery (it's called Medicine III) before being able to perform it. Sorry for calling it a bug, though I think it's not very intuitive.

Can you add something like a mending or item repair table? Maybe even an item-upgrade table where you can improve the quality of weapons and apperal for additional cost?

Is the mending mod going to be updated for alpha 10? I would love to see that.

Hey there. I'm using fixbone 10b and it's doint a great job!
Is it possible for you to add back/torso repair/replacement? We all know colonists with bad backs and frails wich are basically useless.

May sound silly, but do you have the parts you want to install? You need to have the arm/leg/organ you want to install already built to even have the option of doing the surgery.

Yes, I know that I need those parts, and yes I had them and even vanilla parts like a human eyeball in a stockpile with medicine and still the option of operations won't show up.
A quick side question that was already asked, but I want an general answer; Do we need to start a new game with the update coming later today?

I'm using the still current version of this mod and no other mods wich influence the health system. Still I have this bug where I can't do any operations on colonists other then harvesting, amputating and installing the peg-legs and the wooden jaw. My two doctors have medicine at lvl 12 and 13. Can I help you fixing the bug? Maybe by giving you any output_log? Do you want my savefile and modlist?
Btw. thanks a lot for this mod, using it since the first release, can't imagine playing Rimworld without it.

I just had two folders in the mods subfolder; the core game and a mod i've written myself, wich wasn't even activated. I cut and pasted the folder out of the mods subfolder and the world generation works fine. strange thing.

I do have the same problem. Using build 722 (Alpha 9b) with or without mods.

Could you please try to update this mod for alpha 8? I really liked it and still wan't to use it but it crashes the game when activated

Well the thing is I already tried that before, in fact I reinstalled a new OS because the old one just bugged.
I will try to do it again and then post the results here.

EDIT: Well I am baffled, now it seems to work just fine. I didn't change a thing and the version I downloaded before worked fine on my Laptop so it shouldn't be corrupt. Anyway I attached the output_log.txt again, maybe that helps fighting those bugs in the future.

First of all, SendOwl does'nt reset the download counter so I do not have any downloads left.
Secondly; different version, same problem. Alpha 496 this time.

Hey there guys.
I tried using this forum before, but nobody helped me, even Tynan was ignoring me. So, lets try that again.
Version found: Alpha 5 incl. Hotfix (should be Alpha 492)
Title: Game starts as black window and nothing happens
Summary: When I start the executable file (RimWorld492Win.exe) the game opens as a black window and nothing happens after that. I tried the same files on my Laptop and there it worked just fine. I also tried the "regestry hack" where you change the resolution and the fullscreen mode but that didn't help.
Steps to reproduce: Start the game.
Notes: I tried it on the following machines:
PC1:
GIGABYTE GA-870a-UD3 rev2.3
AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE @3.4Ghz
Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 CL9 2x 4GB
GIGABYTE gtx 560Ti OC @1Ghz
PC2:
just changed the graphics card and the PSU
VTX3D Radeon R9 280X

Same problem on both systems.
There is the output_log.txt file attached.
Hope you can help me.
