After playing Rimworld and Xcom 2 constantly, it hit me. Why hasn't someone made the cross over? I think it would be amazing if someone made the armor sets and weapons that ADVENT use. Not a very talented artist myself so yeah, figured I'd make a request for it. Armor, weapons, sound, maybe a faction based around them and a scenario. Have it all nice and neat under a research tree or for vanilla just have them after a certain weapon research. Could be expanded on quite a bit. Please and thank you if you decide to take a crack at it 

[First Off]

First Off: I am no a modder or a code writer but this idea woke me up in the middle of the night, It sounds a little crazy but, I wonder how do-able it could be as a mod (Overhaul or otherwise).

Thinking Behind This: You see this type of building in games like Sims, and some Voxel like games. Games that have more 3D like environments where you can look at things from different angles. With Rimworld we have a set look down at our pawns and world with a single-layered surface. Adding another visual and building layer to Rimworld. ( I cannot even imagine the huge changes that would have to come to the A.I or everything else this would entail)

Imagination!: Pawns moving up on  another building story via a stair case block, maybe even an underground level if this didn't already sound mad and one was tested/working(Something like that.) Second layer would allow you to actually see the roofing of the first layer building (Maybe even walk on it, be an interesting event seeing a pawn fall through the ceiling.) Towers in rimworld? I think yes, as long as it had proper foundations? Second story could fall if the first base lost support.

Conclusion: I think if it were do-able and not requiring like... A whole new game, that would be fantastic? Eh? (Be also interesting to see it work with mods that change up different roofing, skylights, etc.) NO PRESSURE!




 

I love this mod, it gives me a real borderlands meets Rimworld feel in terms of the weapon manufactures strengths and weaknesses and the story tellers (Nice art by the way!). I'd really like to know more about the Federations story if there is more to share. Keep up the good work!
