General Discussion / Re: Is rimworld = earth ?

Well think about it like this. On the main menu there is a picture of a broken up ship. In relation to the planet that ship is huge. I Came up with the idea that the ship is filled with thousands of people and animals that were supposed to come down in a process. This would be with ship getting to the planet successfuly, releasing the animals, getting attacked or destroyed in some matter causing the people on the ship to be sent down sporadically over hundreds of years.

Fallen from the sky, we were taken here to live and die.
Three to begin, a struggle to come.
Whether by starvation, disease, or lead, we will succumb.
Nevermind here comes some maddened squirrels.

Warden: In our kingdom the very foundation of our walls are built on top of our fallen.

Prisoner: Wow, you guys really honor your dead.

Warden: Not really.

I was playing in arid shrubland in the summer (90f) when a heat wave hit (124f) The next thing I noticed was that there wasn't a single wild animal left on the map. The elephants, muffalos, and rhinos just left

Haven't noticed any dates from the future on any of my art work. But this does give me an idea too make psychically sensitive people useful. That they can predict future events and such in there art would be bad ass.

A tribal I had kept getting visits from her lover who is a caravan guard from an Outland town. A very interesting relationship to think about in my opinion. Rimworld is starting to have a lot of feel good moments :)

Machinery in real life  can break  due to not being used, especially anything with moving joints tht are "improvised". I'm also assuming this is true for anything made in rimworld. But yes I've noticed that most of my breakdowns are from turned off devices.

Bugs / Re: Psychopath's social bug

That's interesting but I wouldn't consider that a bug, just an over site. I've also noticed that there is a ridiculous debuff socially for scars and missing fingers. Why would a missing pinky cause -15 socially?

Edit : nevermind it was from a scar on some ones face that gave the debuff, but still that's rough

I actually kind of like this even if it doesn't mean much. I had captured a pirate and he had been in my prison for some time. Some people from an outland settlement came by and sure enough one was his father. Kinda sad, maybe the son was captured and forced to fight for the Pirates? But I like to think he ran away for some reason and joined the Pirates only to to get captured and soon after see his own father walk past his cell without even a thought.

It was an honest question. I thought you were gonna make a joke. But yes, those are hard to come by. I try to fill the void with video games. Lots and lots of video games.

Is "breathing" what you consider picky?

Colorful cast, rimworld related jokes that aren't to over the top, canabelistic doctor. You may have something here. Keep up the good work  :)

The same thing happened to me. Nine Yorkshire terriers. I had no use for them so I told my cook to slaughter them. As it turns out, socially wise, killing a "colony pet" isn't good for someone who already doesn't have a good standing with your level 16 brawler.
