I'll point out combat or fighting is nothing new horses, from Cavalry in 1550 BC to Knights in the middle ages and even today police horses will kick you ass if told to.
Some will trample you, other will rear up and strike you with their front hooves. I've watched a horse run over and trample a brown snake, after it's ride had dismounted and was trying to remove the saddle.

Well once again, game play balance over writes reality!

As a person who worked on a large cattle farm in Australia, I can tell you a horse is more likely to pick up your beer can and walk off with it than a dog.
I know dogs are smart, but I can tell you after years working with horses are smarter. They just like to watch the dogs do the work.

Time to make a mod that set things back how they were for animals.

Has anyone had the problem with babies having adult heads on them?

This only started when updated to rimWorld 1.2

Hello pants.

I don't know if the game saves differently for the 2 OS's.
I don't know what file system MacOS is using but it could be the how the permission is writen on the disk.
But try turning off steam cloud and try moving you save location to a cloud storage like Dropbox.
I'm only suggesting this as that's how I have it setup for my Windows 10 and Linux Mint setups. I dual boot both my desktop and laptop and I can play the same save on both.
You can change the save location in steam by going to Properties and clicking on 'Set Launch Options' by adding
-savedatafolder="New Save Location" like mine is -savedatafolder="C:\My Documents\Dropbox\RimWorld"
This also could open another can of worms and not help you out.

Yes I have launched RimWorld 16 (1393) Linux many times on this install of Linux Mint.
I haven't installed Steam or the current Rimworld yet.

LC_ALL=C ./RimWorld1393Linux.x86_64 -logfile "RimWorld.log" -savedatafolder=./Saves
After running the code in a terminal, this log I get.

Hello all.

I'm trying to setup Rimworld on my Linux Mint laptop the same as I have on my Windows 10 desktop.

I have 4 version of RimWorld installed on the Windows machine.

* Steam RimWorld for the latest build, short games with a couple of mods
   made with mklink /J "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios" "C:\My Documents\Dropbox\Games\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios"

* RimWorld Royalty with the 20+ mods. Run with this line in the shortcut
   C:\Games\RimWorld\RimWorldWin64.exe -savedatafolder="C:\My Documents\Dropbox\Games\Ludeon Studios\Rimworld"

* RimWorld 16 with a list of 20+ mods. Run with this line in the shortcut
   C:\Games\RimWorld\RimWorld1393Win.exe -savedatafolder="C:\My Documents\Dropbox\Games\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld_16"

* RimWorld1393 with old mods playing what I call MarsWorld because of the Mars mods
   C:\Games\MarsWorld\RimWorld1393Win.exe -savedatafolder="C:\My Documents\Dropbox\Games\Ludeon Studios\MarsWorld"

I tried adding these 2 lines start_RimWorld.sh but all I get a blank screen.

#set config file location
-savedatafolder="/home/[user]/.config/unity3d/Ludeon Studios/MarsWorld/config/"

I also made a launch menu icon and added -savedatafolder="/home/[user]/.config/unity3d/Ludeon Studios/MarsWorld/config/" and got a blank screen.

Well I don't know what's wrong, but I think the Rimworld update broke the Rainbeau's Bridges Mods.
I'm running RimWorld 0.18.1717 rev1081. I reload Rimworld with only the Core and the Rainbeau's Bridges Mods.


Caught exception while loading play data but there are active mods other than Core. Resetting mods config and trying again.

I use the Floor lights mod all the time and think its great.
Thanks for all your work Temeez, please let me know if you want this removed.

So as I'm always running the "unstable - Public testing" version of Rimworld, I decided to update this mod for myself as it was only a couple of quick changes! But then I thought why make the changes and not share with everyone.
