Updated for 1.0.

Note that the way storytellers control trade ships was changed in B19, so I had to rewrite More Trade Ships. It will probably not give you the exact same rate as it did in B18. Please leave your feedback if you think the rate is too high or too low in B19 / 1.0.

1.0 is now on Nexusmods (Steam version was done last week already). Version number update only.

I have a mod on workshop called "Skilled Stonecutting" that puts the XP back to where it was before it was removed.

As Spock said, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Some numbers to put things in perspective.

About 145,000 people are subscribed on Workshop to my most popular mod. I have about 4,000 unique downloads for the A18 version on Nexusmods, and that includes people that downloaded it before A19 came out. So if I don't update on Workshop, 97% of people need to manually dig through Steam's (terrible) workshop interface to find a new version of their favorite mods, and they have to remember what each mod was called to do so.
This is not a reasonable burden to put on the vast majority of players, just so the 3% that stick to an old version of Rimworld are not inconvenienced. That balance seems way off to me.

I'm not unsympathetic to people having their savegames broken (although my mods can be removed without breaking things) but it's far more reasonable for that 3% to spend the two minutes installing the old version from Nexusmods (available simply by clicking on a link on the mod page in-game) and the 97% can just play the enjoy the latest version of Rimworld with all of favorite mods conveniently updated.

We all wish Steam had proper version support but it doesn't, so we have to inconvenience some of the players one way or the other. Better it be a small percentage.

Skilled Stonecutting

Description:
In earlier versions of RImworld, stonecutting chunks into blocks gave pawns increases in their crafting skill. As of B18, it gives no skill at all. This mod restores the experience gain, so pawns will once again gain crafting experience from stonecutting. The experience gain is identical to earlier versions of Rimworld (values are taken from A16).

It also makes it so that characters make blocks more quickly as their crafting skill increases.

Manual installation:
Download from https://www.nexusmods.com/rimworld/mods/227/?
- Unzip the contents and place them in your RimWorld\Mods folder (if using Steam, this will be under Steam\Steamapps\common\Rimworld\Mods\ )

Updated for B18.

Steam version will auto update. Users that want to keep playing on A17b (or earlier), please use the appropriate version from Nexusmods.
#7
Both mods updated to A17, and both use the new patching feature to improve compatibility.
#8
Both mods updated to A16, can this get moved back to the regular forum? Thanks.

Its under users\{your windows account name}\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\Rimworld

The AppData folder is usually hidden by default so you need to set windows explorer to show hidden files. In windows 7 that's via Tools menu > set folder options > view tab )

My colonists kept wearing this tuque, eventhough it was not allowed by their outfit. Force dropping it results in someone else picking it up and wearing it (all had the same outfit). Tried making a different outfit (also with tuque forbidden) but the behaviour remains.

Screenshot is the colonist choosing to wear the hat with the pictured outfit.

Have this issue as well. They usually take the meals like they are supposed to, but sometimes they grab raw corn instead. No human meat used at all.

In A14 there is now a mood penalty if a prisoner dies. I've run in to two instances where this doesn't really feel right:

-If a prisoner dies of disease, you still get the penalty even if you were treating and feeding them
-If you release a prisoner and he dies on the way to the edge of the map, you also get the penalty. Added to that, you cannot rescue them if they collapse on the way (no right click menu appears at all for released prisoners)

Both of these prisoners were spacers that had crashed and I could have left them to die in the cold with no repercussions. Instead, I tried to help and got hit with a long mood penalty despite my best efforts. I know ice sheet play encourages psychopathic traits but this may be pushing it :)

New traits:

Neat Freak - gets a bigger mood debuff from dirty rooms, but cleans at increased rate

Sloppy - doesn't mind dirt at all but really dislikes cleaning.

Social penalty between them obviously.

I'd say buy, the updating is honestly trivial. You can an email when a new version comes out. Click link, download, unpack and done. Takes all of 30 seconds.

You might want to keep playing the old version for a few days anyway, sometimes you have to start over or you use mods that haven't been updated yet.
