Ideas / Re: Black Box / Personal space for colonists
November 09, 2013, 10:05:36 PM
the black box could revolve around research tiers in order no to make it "OP"
it also makes for a great story telling element for the lore an so on.
i could see this as a great addition and something that shouldn't be horribly hard to impelament

the 1st design is much more efficient in terms of space though

Ideas / Re: SharpKris's Evil suggestions!

I love the feel of the game but i think that there should be more diversity in the "evil" (fear) section. any and all suggestions are welcome here, free your twisted imaginations and bring forth suffering!

Ideas / Evil suggestions emporium!

I've played around with the gibbet cages and thought "why do they have to be dead to be in the cages, wouldn't it be even funner if they had to fight inside a cage?"
so it occurred to me that it shouldn't be too "out of line" to have slaves fight each other for the amusement of the colonists.

-Cage pit fights! (not Nicholas cage)"make the buggers bloody each other with boomrats attached to their fists!"

-Torture!- while the gibbet cage suffices in the general idea of torture it lacks the imaginative approach this game wields.. my general idea would range from beatings to burying someone head above ground in a maffalo field (also could be a nice way to increase fear or evil pleasure?)

-dissection! every doctor needs to train on something! and since cadavers are a plenty and prisoners are abundant why not let him have a go?

Think Confederate express should be getting more attention, sadly the developers seem to be lacking the motive to advertise their game more (youtubers maybe?), they could really take some tips from Rimworld

Mtgo, DF, WC3:tft, etc (some terraria)

i think a choke point with a row of sand bags and a row of mines does the job

i find individual rooms to be a tad wasteful but i do them still to satisfy my OCD.
also i find FEAR to be a much better way of controlling the general population thus making executions and gibbet cages very effective. the general difficulty would be snipers and m14 users arriving early on and filling you with holes, this could be solved with sharp turns and smart turrent placement to reduce their ranged advantage. also hydroponic FTW

I never even thought of how the animals would eat your potted plants. Awesome.

It would be even better if that boomrat went insane one day.

OR! if he evolved into an intelligent Boomrat alien... and then went insane

After you've had your fill of the Rimworld project how about you come and check out "Confederate Express"!

it's a randomly generated zombie survival delivery simulation.
it has lots of features that you're bound to enjoy!
Permadeath (every dog has his day), Weapon modifications!, Delivery simulation (if you've ever dreamt of being a postman), various skills for each character and zombie/aliens!
