Just to repeat, I have no issues with building either vents or coolers on vanilla/standard walls, modded walls however don't work. The blueprint appears but pawns ignore it and you can't force them to work on it. The reason I posted my list in the first place was to provide something to compare against towards the ones that had issues with standard walls.

I spent a little while now re-coding your mod and tried my results on the reinforced walls from DDA Security and More. I also spent a while comparing the def files etc between the regular walls and those as well as looking at the standard vents and coolers compared to these. I had a look at your place worker and I can't really see anything wrong, I also compared that to the code cuproPanda have for his windows mod but I couldn't see anything obvious, but it's not what I usually work with so I might be a bit blind. So now I have about 6 different versions of the vents mod working flawlessly on standard walls, but same disappointing result on the modded walls for some bizarre reason.

lol, think Faltonico was envisioning the DRM-free mod list, not manual and Steam Workshop (all the numbered ones are Steam Workshop) mods mixed together. Pictures may just be easier in this case!
Well yeah I guessed that as well, but considering there is a steam icon next to pretty much every mod in the pics I also thought it was pretty obvious that I used steam as my source for most of my mods ;)

@SuedKAT - Up to A16, the Model T stove was the best way of maximising the compatibility of ExpandedCrops. Without a separate stove I would've needed to redefine the vanilla stove definitions, and any mod that did the same thing would immediately create a conflict - whichever mod was loaded last would "win".

With A17, XML patch operations can append new recipes onto vanilla workbenches in a completely conflict-free way - my added stove wasn't needed any more, so it got the chop.

If you check it yourself, you should find that kitchen cupboards are definitely still useful because they now link to both types of vanilla stove. :)

I see, I fully understand the change then, think I however will do some tinkering to get it back (noticed it was still in the texture folder) to get it back since it looks kinda neat to have in my massive kitchens ;)

Will have to check the kitchen cupboard as well.

Edit: Nope, can't line the kitchen cupboards to anything, might be something conflicting perhaps but can't recall ever being able to link them to anything other than the T-Stove.

Wait your guys had issues building it on a regular wall? from vanilla? ive been playing for hours and havent hit this issue, ill need a modlist or something to help further.

I have no issues with standard/vanilla walls, I will however still post my mod list since it's "extensive" so it hopefully can be easier to track down the issue:

I noticed that you removed the stove, must say that quite liked having two different stoves in my giant kitchens, any particular reason or was it just more convenient? Also now that you've removed the stove is there any reason for the kitchen cupboard to remain since from what I recall it ain't linkable to the regular stove.

Do you get a message when attempting to put it on custom walls? as in is the placement working? is it simply the building of them that isnt done?

No red errors or yellow messages whatsoever from what I can see in the debug log, the blueprints will place just fine, but the pawns never go to build them on those walls. Even when I try to a pawn to prioritize construction for the vents & coolers, there's no menu that comes up when I right-click the blueprint either.

I'm having the same issue. I'm using god mode to install the vents and coolers at the moment.

Having the same issue and have solved it the same way, don't mind using god mode though since I hate the standard design and the fact that it takes up an entire wall. I'm using the walls from DDA Security and More.

Hello, I posted a post with my output log attached, it didn't appear so I guess there is some kind of moderating going on to check so it's an oki file. However I've been a fan of this since it was under development and have been using it since then, I have however not been playing the game much recently, now I do. This however caused me to run into some issues, freezes in-game and while checking my output log I found thousands of lines of errors like these:

When ever I remove this mod those vanish. I was at first thinking that it might have something to do with me playing on an old laptop at the moment due to my main rig being repaired, but I see a significant performance improvement when the mod ain't loaded. Any ideas?

Hi SuedKAT, I just saw your post. We don't auto-delete attachments (unless it's a rather old post) so I'm not sure what happened in your case.

If you haven't already, try removing the mod altogether (not just disabling it), and play without it for a few minutes. Make sure to save the game so the save file is updated without the mod. Then download and install the mod again. The freezing you're experiencing is from the mod generating so many errors, and a fresh install like I've suggested might help fix that. If that doesn't work, please tell us what version of RimWorld you're running & what operating system you use.

Thanks for the reply, mine is a bit late as well and no idea what happened to the attached file. At the time I was using the latest version of Alpha 16 and I believe I was using win 7 (use multiple OS on multiple computers due to work so a bit hard to keep track). I had the same issue on 3 different computers.

Now though I've updated to Alpha 17 and hope this mod will be updated and that I once again can use it without any issues since I must admit that after about 800 hours playing the standard tunes start to become a bit... repetitive ;)

I've attached it to the post, will remove it if Neufusion don't find it ok.

This is the A17 version he have released on steam but not here, I've made it linkable to Clutter, More Furniture and [sd] medicaddons. If you don't use those mods this will cause errors and you will need to make a small alteration. Just open:

\NeuTech Advanced Medical Pod\Defs\ThingDefs\Buildings_Furniture.xml
I recommend NotePad++ but any text editor would do the trick pretty much.

Scroll down until you find this:
<linkableFacilities>
<li>ClutterCabinetA</li>
<li>ClutterLockerA</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_medieval_surg_washpan</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_medieval_surg_instruments</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_medieval_surg_lamp</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_industrial_surg_instruments</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_industrial_surg_lamp</li>
<li>VitalsMonitor</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_spacer_surg_vitalsmonitor</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_spacer_surg_instruments</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_spacer_surg_lamp</li>
<li>Anon2Dresser</li>
<li>Anon2EndTable</li>
<li>Anon2EndTableLight</li>
<li>Anon2RoyalEndTable</li>
<li>Anon2RoyalEndTableLight</li>
</linkableFacilities>

If you for example want to remove all links to More Furniture simply delete everything with "Anon" in it so it looks like this:
<linkableFacilities>
<li>ClutterCabinetA</li>
<li>ClutterLockerA</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_medieval_surg_washpan</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_medieval_surg_instruments</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_medieval_surg_lamp</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_industrial_surg_instruments</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_industrial_surg_lamp</li>
<li>VitalsMonitor</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_spacer_surg_vitalsmonitor</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_spacer_surg_instruments</li>
<li>sd_medicaddons_spacer_surg_lamp</li>
</linkableFacilities>

Then just save and you should be all good. The same goes for Clutter and [sd] medicaddons, the Vitals Monitor is the the one in the standard game.

Plain Tool Cabinet

Description:
This mod removes the drawers from one side of the tool cabinet making it look a bit neater when placed next to a wall. I've also added in new stuff categories (Stony, Metallic, Woody) meaning you now can make your tool cabinet out of new materials and more importantly in new colors.

DOWNLOAD

Backstory:
Due to how I design my work areas most of my tool cabinets are facing a wall, which means I end up with drawers facing towards the wall which I don't find that realistic. This fact have annoyed me for a long time now, so I finally made a small fix to be able to once again watch my colonists slave away with their work with joy!

Notes:
Apart from some small tinkering this is the first time I've ever "made" something in terms of mods for Rimworld, so any feedback, bugs, etc are more than welcome

Your looking for Harvest Everything!, it's a standalone "expansion" of EPOE.

Time to report another error:

It happens when ever a trade caravan enters the map.

So far I love the mod a lot, nothing like going hunting with a huge pack of loyal Spirit or Direwolfes with you as backup :)

You might find Allow Tool useful, if you right click on the harvest tool you get the option to select "Harvest all plants", this select all plants on the map ready for harvest to be harvested.

It's incredible useful, and even though it also selects the plants on your growing zones you can just use the cancel tool over those if you don't want them to be harvested at the same time.

Mods / Re: Help With Mod Load Order?
June 22, 2017, 12:55:04 PM
Well just by looking at that load order I don't see anything obvious, like putting HugsLib at the bottom for example, however at the same time I would have done it a bit different. I generally have all misc stuff changing behavior or the GUI at the top. QualityBuilder, Medical Tab, Area Unlocker, EdB Prepare Carefully for example I would have put in the top, after that I generally put food, materials + floors, furniture and then medical since that tends to work with how I alter some of the mods to be linkable with each other, like new medical stuff to modded beds etc.

After that I generally put power, weapons + turrets and lastly I put random stuff like LT-DoorMat, [RF] Basic Bridges [a17] etc and last I put hair mods. So far that have worked ok.

What exactly ain't working correctly for you? Might be easier to troubleshoot that way.
