Mods / Re: Is anyone maintaining Cupro's mods?

I didn't see the response until now, but I had noticed that the mods had been updated in the last week. Thank you both very much!

Mods / Is anyone maintaining Cupro's mods?
March 04, 2020, 04:51:47 AM
According to the Workshop page for Cupro's Alloys, Cupro's not in the modding business anymore. Now that we've got a whole new version to play around with, can I expect such beauties as Alloys and Stones to be updated?

I can't seem to find any of Cupro's threads on here to check them for updates.

If not, are there any other mods who fill the same 'more stuff' role as Cupro's Alloys? I liked having the options of more stones and metals, and especially more floor types.

Oh yeah, ison completely redid it. So it covers the map all at once now and regrowth looks the same as initial growth.

Didn't I mention that? I will, it's a big deal.

Is there a work tab that adds that splits construction and repair?

It's nice to split people who repair and people who build things since raids or other events that damages structures. colonists prioritize repair rather than constructing a missing or fixing a hole in the wall.

Just a suggestion that i ran around and found from the Suggestions fourms. ;)

I'm out of the loop, sure, but I think I remember Fluffy's(?) Work Tab doing that. Splitting all categories by individual task, and then you could assign some to have higher 'construction' and some t have a higher priority 'repair' task.

If Tynan&Co don't do something about it.

That makes much more sense. I thought I'd missed a people-breeding update. I guess I haven't had issues with that particular problem, and it had never occurred to me that it was possible to miscarry.

Glad to see you're still working hard :) Always great to see an update.

Quote-Minor starvation (below 25% severity) no longer causes miscarriages

Mis...carriages? What is this 'miscarriage' concept? I seem to have missed that update.

Bridges, that probably means that there'll be a new type of water called "Troubled water", if Simon & Garfunkel are anything to go by.
New water confirmed for 1.0.
Edit: It could also be Kevin Bridges, the Scottish comedian, so there is definitely going to be a Scottish faction in 1.0.
Also, there's a pretty legit chance that Jeff Bridges is narrating.

Or we're all going to Terebithia.

It comes out when it is ready.
Yeah, but...have we had any news since January and the 'million copies sold' announcement? There's 'not ready yet' and then there's 'awkward radio silence'. >_> feel free to point me in the direction of more recent dev blogs/updates.

Related question to the pawn space issue. Should I put things my pawns spend a lot of time at, like research benches, cooktops, and the butcher table, facing the center with a lot of space? or did they fix the issue where if there was a wall in front of a pawn, no matter how big the actual room, the pawn felt cramped?

Does a larger butcher room make a pawn happier, or will a lot of blood negate the benefit of a large room anyway?

Pretend I'm new to this game and don't know how stuff works ((edit:: i don't mean menus. everything else, tho)). How should I build walls in/around my base?
The only thing I'm going to have you assume that I know is that wood is much more flammable than stone. Teach me something else.

If I'm understanding everything correctly, that mod would let you pick the folder you wanted music from--meaning you could choose your sci-fi, medieval, whatever playlist.
I don't know that it would change alert tones, but you could in theory change at least that much.

That fixed it, thank you Angle

Dunno if I've already said this, but T, you're a god.

Releases / Re: [A17] Pick a Color! (Update May 31)

animagus_kitty, the reason for that is it clutter up the stonecutting bench. why would there be a color option in the stonecutting bench if that person not going to use it, i did try the mod and there was way too much color option in the stonecutting plus some of the color i don't even use

That sounds like a fair complaint, there are an awful lot of choices. Honestly, though, due to the way the Stuff system works, doing something about it would probably involve rewriting the whole mod. :/
I know apparel comes out the color of its material, but I think that works a little differently than painting stone, since you're giving it a different color.
The only way it might work is if you did 'Paint Stone [Color]', and then had to manually choose a material to paint, rather than all being selected.  I just don't think there's a way to do what you want with the way Rimworld is designed, let alone this mod, unfortunately.

EDIT:: is this post irrelevant now that Mar's posted? idk, leaving it here anyway. Probably should have actually read that post before I did this.
