Mods / Anyway to modify the resource list?

I know I can toggle by categories.
However in each category there is a lot of stuff I don't care about.
Is there a way to make my own categories? Through a mod? Through an XML edit?

Added it to a quite advanced existing game and havent encountered any issue for now. Researched everything and am building the stuff.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I ll keep playing with your mod which i really like and just use dev mode to make the tribe friendly and the cats hostile, no more infinite leather and food ;=)

Ok last update and i stop bothering you.

I first added a zone at same priority to the selected tiles but the stuff as still getting untagged as do not touch inside the wall and i cant place a zone inside the wall.

So i removed the wall and added the whole of the belt as stockpile and now everything is fine.

So i experimented with a new setup to avoid belts feeding into belts.

It works fine but.. you see that pile of corn? it was forbidden until it reached that last spot where it is waiting in front of the zone. It vant get to the zone because the zone is full. Once it reached this spot it became unforbidden.

I m not complaining, i ll just keep on experimenting and posting wierd or unexpected behaviours.

Can this be added to an existing game? Hmm guess i ll just backup my mod list and savegame and try. Will post feedback

Great mod, thank you for your work.

2 comments (for what it s worth)

1. Having the tribe as ennemy is way too helpful, they arent a real threat since they always take the shortest path right into the defences. They drop tons of lingots, their meat can be eaten, their skin is very powerful. Maybe make their meat considered human, or tone done the value of their skin or limit the amount of lingot they drop (dont even know why they drop them in the first place since they use shitty tech)

2. Thanks to all these lingots we can craft the gear. I love being able to craft the gear of the other faction. But that lmg.... I dont know why to use anything else burst shot of 10 at 40 range with 100% accuracy at all range as legendary? Well all my fighter carry it.

I m not trying to be disrespectful, i love your work, i just thought i d share. Now ima use debug to make the tribe ally and the cats enemies =)

My cook has 2 zones around him one for meat, one for vegs. I m trying to feed these zones from the stockpiles setup on the adjacent rooms.

Since the belt only takes what is directly on it i made a lot of belts on the vegs room to the left.

What i believe happen is
- something gets picked up by one of the vertical belts, when it reaches the queue, since it is in a zone it gets teleported out of its position at a random spot in the stockpile. That s one thing and i understand the logic eventhought aht s not what i would want to happen.
- as it lands at its new position it is free to use and keep moving and remain free to use untill it reaches it s destination or another belt

Here are 4 sequential screenshot to show what i mean, the pile of potatoes keeps jumping like this (screens are taken like 1 sec apart):

Note that the 2 piles of rice which are marked as do not use, keeps swapping position too.  The one which isnt marked as do not use doesnt move. And i suppose it s here because it s been teleported through the same process and thus will remain untagged like the one in the kitchen.

I hope my explanation is clear otherwise i ll try to make a video.

First thank you for your quick reply.

I was about to go to bed and read ur post so i relaunched the game to make another screenshot.

I switched to cassandra intense at around day 75. And have been disapointed.

iunderstand there is an inherent issue with that kind of game. We start in a very bad situation, unless we use some mods to optimize our starting pawns. And the more we progress, the better we get, very fast, almost exponentially. This makes the start of the game hard and the more we progress the easier it gets.

But in this case this isnt the issue. I got hit hard at start, double raids the same day, toxic fallout, flu, etc. Then nothing. For several hours. Sure, a few storm and a manhunter pack but nothing to compare with what hit me at start. I was expecting to stay on the same pace. It felt like base building.

I dont know what s wrong i should have had sappers, raiders, infestation, illness etc.

I suspect there is a bad interaction somewhere with another mod or faction. Note that i always play in dev mode and havent noticed any issue related to spawning raids. I ve gotten tons of visitors through hospitality though. Maybe that s the problem, maybe i get visitors instead of negative events. I dont know.

It s been a few hours now. The start was intense, raids in rapid succession, like one ends and another starts, toxic fallout, flu etc.

But now it s been a looooong time without anything. Is it normal? I may have misunderstood, i thought this storyteller was intense in terms of events.

Not a critic, id just like to know.

Edit. i m on day 70 my last raid was on day 53 and before that 26. I lost one guy and refused 2 which were bad and still only have 5. Not much is happening. Not even a single trade ship. I get caravans though. And these wandering monsters, the one who behave like mobs.

I checked the xml for the storyteller and it looks good. My guess is one of my mod messes with the stroyteller. Maybe hospitality, i have gotten tons of visitors.
