Ideas / Rename young hens to 'pullets'

I mean, if we've taken the time to call young roosters 'cockerels', then why not call young hens 'pullets'?  Plus, it would make culling a little easier in terms of identification.

What if there were specific research topics that were related to various skills, and pouring time and effort into researching those topics could trigger inspiration in a random colonist whose work assignment relates to that skill?  These research topics could be repeatable, but devoting time to them means you're not advancing technologicallly.  This could also serve to keep research relevant in the late-game.

An activity to stave off the heat when the weather is warm, and to promote social bonds between colonists, and to increase recreational joy.

There are days when no raiders come to attack you.  When no beasts go mad.  When a fire doesn't break out in the mess hall.  On those days, even in the harsh frontier on a remote rim world, one might hear the splash of a water balloon breaking on a colonist's back, and the retaliatory lobbing of another water-filled rubber grenade in return.

The game's AI could use already-existing grenade code, having the colonists simulate battle, but in a much more friendly context.  Just be sure to suppress the 'soaking wet' debuff as long as one's mood is high.

Short of neutering them, why not keep a male or two in cryo-storage and just keep the females out?  Then you can pull the males out just when you want to breed more of them.  Sell or cull young males, keep the females as livestock or work animals.
