EdB - I panicked when I came here after time off from the game and didn't see Prepare Carefully updated.  I have been playing this game since way before it came to steam and your mods have become my absolutely HAVE to have when I play the game.  If you look at my posts (which are few and very far between) they are complimenting your work and the work of so many amazing modders.

THANK YOU for your tenacity and loyalty to this game.  You have enhanced the gameplay for me so much.  Much appreciation to you and the other folks who do so much for us idiots who don't know how to do this stuff :)

Edit: I looked at my posts from prior years...it seems I am your fanboi.  No...this is not EdB complimenting himself all the time.  I just appreciate the great mods he (and SO many others have done to enhance this game :) )

Thanks for all your efforts.  You and the other folks like you who do so much for this community are so appreciated by us all.   Because of your hard work I am still playing a game i bought 2.5 years ago.  That is amazing :)   Cheers!!!

I haven't played Rimworld in many months and just saw it was on steam so i quickly got my key and am ready to play.  But wait....is EdB's Prepare carefully updated because there is no way I am throwing myself at the game without this mod...

Came here and voila!  EdB you are my HERO!  Thank you so much for being such a huge part of this community and for using your enormous brain for our fun :)

I will pile on here and say "Ditto".  I am not even going to start A13 until EdB's mods are up and running.  I stopped playing this great game several months ago and am excited to have the new release but holding off until EdB is done.

Thanks EdB for your efforts!!!!!

Epyk you don't have to rush just give it your best job we've waited a while but we can wait a few more weeks if needed

I agree with Popster.  You have been dealt a horrible hand by some hacker and just getting your own stuff up and running must be overwhelming.  We want you for the long haul so putting yourself through hell hurts our chances to have you for YEARS (yes I said it....we want you doing this for YEAAARRRRRRSSSS!!! :D )!  Take your time and keep this a fun hobby and not a job :)

You are the man!

Yay!!  Welcome back Epyk!! :)

It goes without saying how much we appreciate your doing this Epyk.  I can't imagine how much effort it must take to get this up and running.

Thank you!!

General Discussion / Re: Long Term future of Rimworld

I would be considered an old guy by most of you here.  I have been gaming since you put a cassette in the computer and played mouse in a maze...black screen with green lines showing walls.  Me and my buds gathered around the HS Library computer and played that game until we were kicked off.

I have played a LOT of different games and have seen so many changes over the years.  And one thing I have learned like so many of you have is...I LOVE finding a game I lose hours of time playing...the type I find myself looking at the clock and realizing "Holy Smokes it is 3am...again".

Rimworld does that for me and I have been playing it since A4 or so.  I use mods...I like having them to play the awesome game the way I want to play it (think tower defense :D ).  This game will NOT be deleted from my hard drive this year and likely not next year either.  I really enjoy playing this game in between games of CS:GO, 7 Days to Die and whatever else is top of mind at the time.  I always come back to play Rimworld. This is a brilliant game and getting better every time there is a new iteration.

The modding community is amazing here, too.  So many unbelievably intelligent and creative people pouring hours of time into enhancing my free time.  I try to thank someone whenever I come to the forums for putting in such effort for people they don't know.  Long story short, the community is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Rimworld and cheers to you all for that :)

So...call me a fanboi if you want...I have been called worse in 35 years of gaming...this game rocks.

More "Thank you for your hard work" spam....but I feel the same way.  Your mods really enhance the game play for me so much!

You rock EdB!

Epyk - Thank you very much for putting this pack together.  I convinced my nephew to play rimworld (and he convinced me to play Prison Architect :) ) and I told him to learn vanilla and then download the Epyk pack for starters before jumping into the other great mods out there.

I think he will be doing that tonight or tomorrow so I am looking forward to his "thanks!" for the great advice.

We all very much appreciate your efforts!!!!

Don't listen to the Troll.  Your mod is very nice and a lot of other folks agree.
