In Hearts of Iron you get some nice logs too. For example, when capital ships are sunk, it gets recorded. There is a ledger which keeps track of the whole statistics in the game and I think it is the last page that records which ship sunk which ship with the name of the battle and the date.

It is beautiful. When you have a ship which has lasted many battles, nerds like myself, enjoy goin back to the ledger to check all the victories and the powerful enemies defeated.

Lets be honest, keeping written record is something we are pretty good at doing.

Yes indeed. Be carefull. All of Paradox Studio games are real fun to me. You just need to be ready to stare into a map for really long periods of time.

You may start your game with Crusader Kings 2 from 867 to 1450, then convert it to EUIV and play from 1450 to 1800...

Real fun.

Hello, I've played countless hours of DF and I would like to see more games like these. The space setting seems really nice and the story generator thing too.

Whatever I can help with, I will.

There is a feature like this in Europa Universalis III in which you get to see all of the wars you've fought and why you fought them when the game ends. Like a historical record. "In the year 1658 of our beloved Lord, King James II defeated the Scottish Kingdom in the War of the Lancastarian Succession", or something like that. It is a nice feature which I've always enjoyed.

General Discussion / Re: Relation to Prison Architect
September 19, 2013, 06:17:53 PM
I think it was about a year, maybe a year and a half, when I first tried DF. I was instantly hooked up to the game and I seriously could not believe it. I tried to retell the story of Moria many times...

I knew soon there would be many people willing to create new games with the same concept. Afterall, DF is a conceptual masterpiece. And I think this man is doing right by marketing Rimworld    as a story generator. Thats is intelligent and personally my opinion would be that it has more fun potential. Building a prison is also a tremendous amount of fun but as others have suggested it seems to be a more linear experience. I hope the developers of PA probe me wrong because it is also a really nice game!

In conclusion I hope the execution of this game is good enough to provide a sandbox with likelihoods and probabilities yet quite a lot of possibilities and overall madness. Afterall, space is an infinite yet lonely place.
