My mortars were working fine up until I got a mech cluster with an anti-mortar mech. Now when I attempt to use mortars I get the error message that no usable shells for the mortar was found. I double checked to make sure the colonists are zoned for the area the mortars + shells are located. (Is there anything else I might be over looking?) I already destroyed the anti-mortar mech but I have a suspicion the bug may be related to this, since this only started to happen after it showed up. Only mods I have right now are floor textures and hairstyles.

And once again unfortunate incidents such as this make me scratch my head in bewilderment as to why anyone would ever play perma-death. It's a reward 0%:100% risk based decision, since there are no benefits to be had from playing perma-death only risk, so you are taking on a huge risk for literally nothing. And perma-death + using mods is even riskier again and is just asking to lose your save file.
I don't understand people who feel the need to chime in with their unrelated opinions on a support thread. Nothing you said was helpful or told me anything the previous poster didn't already say.
I play permadeath because it's fun for me and the entire point of a video game is to have fun. Lots of people like that extra challenge. That's why it's an option. Losing power while I was playing is a fluke that never happened before in 300 hours of playtime and is unlikely to happen again.
The only thing your comment accomplished was being dickish to someone who is already bummed out.

Support / Corrupted save after losing power

My house lost power while I was playing Rimworld. Today when I try to load the save I was playing, I can't. There are 3 red question marks where the game version should be and clicking "load" on the save does absolutely nothing.
It was permadeath mode so I can't go to an earlier save. Is there anything I can do?

I just got the windows update and I am having the same problem, but I can't figure out how to fix it. I don't have the Intel Graphics Control Panel that these threads mention, or if I do I can't figure out how to open it.

Ok, I've realized my problem has to do with the Windows Fall Creator update, but I can't figure out how to fix it. I tried following the directions in this thread from the faq, and the thread that it links to: http://steamcommunity.com/app/294100/discussions/0/1489992713701469592/
But it's not working.
This is what my Nvidia Control Panel looks like: https://imgur.com/1aNa5LQ
It doesn't matter which option I pick: Aspect ration, full screen, no scaling, Perform scalling on GPU or display, I get the same result. The game opens as a thin vertical bar.

I just deleted the config files and now the game will start, but it won't actually open. I can see it in my taskbar but when I click on it, it won't go fullscreen.

My video card drivers are up to date. I've been playing this game for weeks with no problem, although Windows 10 updated last night. I'm running the .exe. in administrator mode.
