Ideas / Re: Mods automatically ordered
August 16, 2016, 06:42:17 PM
This will be a game changer for all those who can't order mods. At first it took me a while to get the hang of it. But things like the log you get when loading RimWorld, doesn't make sense to me unless I teach myself. There might be many people just trying to play mods on this but doesn't have a clear understanding. Plus steam has already revolutionised mods automatically updating them.

Ideas / Mod order UI

Anyway to resize the mods UI the arrows feel tiny to click on. I guess changing the resolution can fix this but rather just have it larger from the beginning :)

Ideas / Mods automatically ordered

The thing about playing RimWorld is that the mods expand it even further making it even more interesting. The issue I find and supposedly many others, is the task of putting these mods in order to play a substantial amount of mods in a game. So I was thinking today that wouldn't it be nice if all mods where put into some kind of system where they arrange themselves, where this system will also tell you to choose between conflicting mods using the same changes to core etc so you can choose between them. Also, when new mods are released they are directly integrated to this system so that when people play RimWorld it will automatically set those mods to the correct place. So that those who choose to download the mod to play it, can do so without having the problem of finding the correct order for the mod/mods to work correctly with one another.

This maybe a lot to ask, but I haven't seen a game where mods are automatically ordered after release and in turn makes the game being played more over then any other.

I'm also getting that same exact error.

The game and modpack are downloaded fresh, with no modifications whatsoever.

Edit:
It appears that the modpack, as is, is bugged and doesn't work.  You have to remove Embrasures and Caveworld Flora in order to get it to work.

Solved the errors for sure. even though i really liked Caveworld flora.

All the mods work fine for me. Just the fact that the most important part of the game of having temperature is bugged. I went to make the coolers for the fridge where 2 are x out with no image in the temperature tab and the medium cooler once its built it disappears. Same goes for duct works, I have 2 which show images of it but 4 of them are x out with no image. Can be built but its invisible lol.

Someway that you can save your presets of tasking your colony when you prioritize task they do according to the task selected. This is where you can choose to either just tick the boxes what a colonists can do in terms of their skills or you just want them to do it i.e doctoring, researcher etc or prioritize each one using a numerical value between 1-4.

I like to have set presets for certain colonist using the largest map and using prepare carefully selecting 8 colonists then just going through them one by one in game selecting each individual colonist order of tasks set.

Ideas / Auto Updates
April 28, 2015, 11:23:51 AM
This might be a long process, but having to continuously find mods and being up to date with there latest releases as well as continuing to play the save game is probably what everyone is thinking. So the idea of having a auto update, with the mods to be in there order which they will work will save me from continuously restarting a game, making sure that the mods are working and not lose anything in the process. Probably a long way before this is pliable but hey its a big suggestion that saves many areas for game developers.

Really like this mod. But its painful to see that generic wood is needed to build things other then the mod has already implemented to choose what kind of wood to use for it
