A few years minimum? A game like Rimworld will live at least a decade on the back of its mods. Such a great modding community it already has. I wouldn't even consider playing it without mods anymore.

And regarding next version being 1.0... good. It doesn't really matter as long as the final product remains as mod friendly as it has been.

Having a condition called Sadistic Rage in game now pretty much ensures there will be no official "children" in game due a possibily of them being the target of this partical mental break. ::) 

Anyway, pretty interesting new mental conditions. I like them all. Especially the audacious ones. Rimworld has always been shameless in a way it deals with the pawns' mental health.

Roads certainly should convey a significant travel time boost regardless of where there are. Perhaps not if there is a metre of snow, but otherwise, yes. From a programming standpoint, it shouldn't be impossible to build roads either, which would be a nice addition. I always found it tedious that if I wanted to be connected to "civilization" by road, I would have to pick certain locations on the map.

You could also roleplay it, and not make superpawns, but only useful realistic ones. You have the power.

Nice. I would love to equip my warden with a whip and then have it escort the prisoners to a "workzone", farm, mine or something. If prisoners have no passion for the task, they would get increasingly unhappy and have an increased chance to try to escape. Balancing all this would be a piece of cake with slower work speed and the increased revolt risk as more prisoners work together. Not to mention the actual slave driver would be wielding a whip instead of a charge rifle.

If someone makes this mod, make sure to have the warden crack the whip occasionally with a proper sound effect. 8)

Ironically tribals would've done better. I had a heatwave on my desert crossroads trading tribe about the same time as you did, but I have magical wooden boxes of cooling I can almost instantly erect in my rooms.

4x4 rooms with double beds in the very middle. Only for special cases would I make a room bigger. I think someone already mentioned that the mood bonus (or penalty) isn't really that significant.

Roads = Trade = Pulled Wagons
Carriages were developed before riding.

Remember the width of Modern Railways is still two roman horses

Technically not all railways the same width (Russia is special). ;) Anyway, if it would be just carriages and carts, I wouldn't even call those vehicles. Does the Rimworld engine even support actual vehicles, like boats or cars? Currently, even the bigger creatures still seem to occupy the same amount of space as a person.
