Help / Patch issues?
July 27, 2019, 10:12:37 AM
I'm trying to patch the Planetside Politics mod (or my version of it) to work with Rimwriter so it can use the Rimwriter writing tables and typewriter for polemics, but I just can't seem to get the bill to show up on the writing table or typewriter. Have I made some massive glaring mistake with this?
Here's the patch.

Facial Stuff Alien Race Patches

Description
This patch adds Facial Stuff compatible Crystalloid textures and adds the race using the AlienFaces code.

Description
This patch makes the Xenohumans mod's Soldiermorphs and Designer mates use the human faces, and adds most other Facial Stuff compatibility to the Wolfmen and Scalemen. If I knew how, I'd add Wolfmen and Scalemen eyes, but I think for now that's beyond my ability.

Description
This patch gives the Orassans mod's titular race Facial Stuff compatibility. Adds face and ear textures (had to move the head down a little to make it look more normal).

To Do;
- Figure out what's making the Android tiers mod so difficult to patch
- Suggestions welcome
[Deleted the 40k patch due to Alienfaces limitations, a weirdly condescending modder from the team, and my general distaste for the series. A comprehensive patch is supposedly being worked on though.]

Thanks to;

Killface,       for creating the original Alien faces mod, used as a base for these patches, and Facial stuff
InsertKey,      for updating Alien faces to 1.0
Albion,           for creating the Xenohumans mod
AtomicRavioli, for creating the Crystalloid race mod
Diane,             for creating the Orassans race mod

Nah, its not as simple as just staying in place. Its behaviour was way more obviously buggy in my case. It was literally spamming picking up and dropping down a meal on high speed. Otherwise you could tell them to go do stuff and they'd do it. But as soon as it required to pick something up - it d turn into ultra bugged pick-drop state. It might be a mod that has to do something with picking stuff up (i do have Pick up and Haul), but it didn't bug out until the anxiety hediff was present for some reason.

ive had the anxiety idleness since b16. wont move for hours, eventually does. i always assumed it was because of anxiety lol

Yeah, after a while of experimenting i think its isn't just the anxiety (although in my case there wasn't a break risk at all and the problem got fixed as soon as i deleted the anxiety hediff for some reason). But i can't pin point as to what the cause is for now. If i get it again, i ll try catching some errors, logging them and posting here if it has any relation to Psychology.
I'm fairly sure your pawns were having panic attacks, they happen with anxiety sometimes.

Are you thinking of doing any more optimisation on the Vampire mod anytime soon? The game seems to borderline crash (I say borderline, it has on multiple occasions) when caravans or raids with vampires arrive, and if the game's not in too much of an anti-vampire mood after they've arrived, it still ends up lagging quite severely.

EDIT: So either I uninstalled a few mods that were conflicting with yours, or the recent abstract fixes solved the issue. Thanks man.

Any chance you could add downloads for the older versions? Specifically the B19 version.

Okay potentially difficult suggestion, but does anyone with modding experience here know if it'd be possible to just... Make archotech parts incompatible with the parts from this mod? Like a pawn would be in pain constantly if they had both bionic/adv. bionic and archotech parts installed due to incompatibilities? Because I feel like that'd be a better workaround and balance tweak than just completely removing the archotech parts.

Should be as simple as adding conditional checks and tags on the parts, right?
